I know somebody else out there is wondering what the record is for most trips drawn on the same day in all the lotteries. Right? From doing the All-States workup, I was pretty sure that I had seen four times in one day, but beyond that I wasn't sure, so I decided to take a run at it and see if I could get an answer. According to the data I have, which is all the publicly available data from all the lottery sites (some of it going back to the early 1980s and even late 1970s), the most ever was five times in one day. That has happened three times, all within the the past few years.
Here are the charts:

South Carolina - 06/13/2018,144,111

Does anybody else see anything peculiar in these numbers? Check it out, on all three occasions, one trip fell twice on the same day.
NOTE: None of the above numbers is from the tracking state, Iowa. The following two cases have not been vetted for Iowa duplicates.
Four Trips in one day has happened seventeen times.
Three Trips in one day has happened one-hundred and twenty-one times.
And so on...
But the record is only five times in one day. I'm surprised. I figured there would be an outlier where there had been six or seven, but no.
Usually when I dig deep in the numbers like this, I find something surprising. In this case,I guess the surprise is that the results were so ordinary. One thing is for sure, now we know that waiting for an outbreak of trips requires a lot of time and patience.
Anyway, now you know...
Good Luck!!!
