Last October, I posted a chart showing all the Virginia draw history deflated. At the time, two combos 134 and 567 - were well ahead of the next most-drawn combo. My plan was to wait a year and update that chart and see what had happened. Last night, when I saw yet another combo of 134 drawn, I decided to do the update right now. I posted the update chart CLICK HERE in a new thread. The quick and dirty is that the two hot combos have continued to be hot to the point that they are pulling further ahead of the other combos behind them in the chart. The acid test is always the same. Can this strategy make money? I wondered, too, so I did the math. 137 and 567 are both 6-Way combos so that makes it easy. For the purpose of this test, I calculated profit/loss based on $1 6-Way combo plays each draw each day since I posted the previous chart on October 25th 2020. So, the costs are really easy to calculate.

Cost

It would cost $24 per day to play both those combos both draws (4x$6) for a buck. There have been 294 days since I posted the original chart.

Cost = 24*294 = $7056

That's a lot of money. But, what would we have won if we had played those numbers religiously every draw?

Winnings

Our two combos have fallen 10 times in the past 294 days.

Winnings = 10*500 = $5000

That's a lot of winnings, but we still would have lost $2056.

This strategy may be beating the odds (for now), but the house helps themselves to a 2:1 advantage and that sinks all hope of using this strategy to make money. Rats! Honestly, I was kind of hoping the math would break my way on this workup, but it didn't happen. I wasn't far wrong, but there's no paydirt here.
