Hi Jeet,
I'm not sure I totally understand your question, but here's a response for what its worth.
Do you need an alternative to Excel?
My partner in a grueling research project doesn't have Excel, I do.
She uses GOOGLE SHEETS, I upload my Excel Sheets to Google Sheets
and do a save, so she can work her part of the worksheets in the workbook.
So, If your Excel is acting cranky, do you have a Google Account?
If so, access Google Sheets, its probably the next best thing to Excel, just not as sexy.
You might be able to do this with your Excel sheet that is not responding, as the file could still
be converted to a Google Sheet---worth a try anyway.
Or, you can grab your data and do a "Special Paste" and add it as Text---than you can go and format the cells as you please.
Does this help you?
Again, I'm not sure what your post was looking for exactly, but...
I took a look at your sheet that you posted in this thread, I was only able to garner that it holds the numbers drawn for a pick 5 game and their sums, ---everything else to the right of the sheet I wasn't able to decipher what the information was for or why the headings held variations of the numbers, such as 122, 212, 221, etc and why they were distributed in parts of the spreadsheet.
I am certainly not an Excel genius, as a matter of fact, I always say, "If I could hire an Excel programmer I would be dangerous". I can pretty much however tackle problems and solve the best I can, and I learn how to get the sheet to do what and I want. Yet, I probably do a lot of stuff the hard way because I lack complete Excel know how.
Your post has me wondering, if you are wanting your own chart to continue recording numbers, and not just what this spreadsheet is holding. Are you wanting something like it?
I could try to make a Excel skeleton for you ---convert to a Google Sheet and share it with you, but I would need to be clear on exactly what you wanted and what you wanted it to do for you.
I've never attempted to look at the pick 5 game, its hard enough to keep track of the pick 3, but heck the PRIZE money is certainly worth a look for musing.
I'll certainly try to help you if I can, so you don't have to go back to pen and paper.
Cheers!
