There was a thread lately (and in the past too) asking what would you do if you won a multimillion dollar jackpot. I read some very good answers in the posts within the thread. But what about this; It's been more than two years since you won. You're set for life, you've done all of the things you previously dreamed about doing, and you're very happy. Every big winner is asked about the euphoria they felt immediately after they saw that they had won, but after a while the euphoria wears off, and you're pretty much back to feeling like your old self just before the big win even though your life was changed dramatically.

If you haven't blown it all, you've probably learned that there is a lot more about having great wealth than you ever realized. You appreciate the fact that it's your responsibility to take the necessary steps to protect and preserve your money for future generations. Therefore you hired some financial professionals to manage your money for you. That's a very good thing to do, but those money managers you hired are simply going to show you what your choices are, and ask you; "What would you like to do?"

Time will keep passing by after you won. What do you think your life will be like years after you became a multimillionaire? Hopefully it'll be great! But one thing is for sure, it wont all be peaches and cream. Rich folks have problems too. G5

You need to be balanced in life. Buying the fancy cars and multiple homes is cool and all. But you need to exercise, eat somewhat healthy and find a hobby that you enjoy that keeps you busy. Some say the journey is the best part and once you get there it's not what you thought. I think I would enjoy it and continue the journey and try hitting ANOTHER ONE. Many of us number crunchers love the journey. Opening up your particular program of choice, home grown or not and looking over the data is intriguing and a challenge. In fact I was up till 5am this morning creating yet another spreadsheet. I play the rolling cash five. So it would take two large carryover jackpots before I thought about quitting work. The first one will be the hardest. Once you have that bankroll, it will definitely be easier. Winning millions is a different story. That's where family and friends will be knocking on your door for a piece. That could get ugly.

Agreed - winning a Pick5 jackpot isn't as life altering as winning millions.

Yeah, the thrill of the chase... For a long time (more years than I remember) I've been chasing a Pick5 jackpot, but it never happened for me. One thing I feel good about is that I know I gave it my best shot. I haven't totally given up on it, but I've slowed my lottery spend quite a bit.

Should I ever be so lucky to win a small jackpot, I'd keep playing too. G5

I'm a simple man (some say simple-minded) and I'm pretty much where I wanted to be at this point in my life. I can think of nothing I'd like less than a huge mansion with a private jet and a garage full of sports cars. As long as I have a good wife, a decent place to live, a few bucks set aside and a monster 4x4 pickup, I'm cool.

Being that it really wouldn't bother me to suddenly or gradually not have all that money, I'd probably make sure my kids and grandkids were well set up and then just help out other relatives, friends, and good people or good charities (I love dogs) that could use some help. And I'd thank God for the opportunity to do so.

Gold and Silver. I would still be watching the market and will still be buying Gold and Silver.

I'd keep my accountant, and fire anyone who didn't tell me to buy Gold and Silver.

After two years, I would be hoping to see some of my bigger projects bearing fruit. I would have used the money to build ideas and employ the people passionate in their fields.

People will never find themselves in 'things'

Some players spend hours every week looking for the Holy Grail of lottery system and maybe they expect to win again in the next two years. But most of us that live outside California, New York, New Jersey, and Florida know the overwhelming odds against our QP winning once much less again in two years.

Hopefully one of these days someone here will win a major jackpot or someone that already did will tell us their experience. For now we can only opine on how we will react.
