I've been a fan of asian entertainment for a long time but not so much their food. My whole experience has been supermarket sushi 3 times and typical Chinese takeout mostly.
The best real Chinese restaurant in my area is def a step up from the takeout joints but not sure how authentic it is. I went there a few times.
It was definitely way better. it honestly ruined takeout joints made me realize how low quality and poorly cooked their food is. Still I had mixed feelings about this restaurant not everything was very good. Some stuff was fine but never order it again type of fine.
Idk why I did this probably cuz I get fixated on a thing. I was watching this anime on Netflix called One Punch Man for the first time yesterday just two episodes, but i love it. So funny and great animation but with surprisingly deep moments occasionally.
Main character thought to himself what to make for dinner and decided eggs over rice. I've seen this in manga and anime before a few times.
Looking at my GrubHub gift card I got from a coworker for Xmas I touched top rated in my area and a Korean restaurant was at the top. I got kimchi fried rice with sunny side egg on top and also bulgogi.
My mind is blown I never been a big fan of rice. I eat it cuz it goes better with certain things but pasta is my #1. That egg running over the rice omg if I made it myself it wouldn't be as fancy but i'd make two or three eggs to ooze all over the rice. It changes it completely makes it so rich and delicious.
The bulgogi was even better. I was surprised how much beef was in the bowl. I see why this place is rated highly.
Sunhee's Farm and Kitchen in Troy, NY I highly recommend. The food came in high quality disposable bowls and the spoons were made of thin wood. I've never seen this before.
I'm gonna go on YouTube and look up how to make eggs over rice Korean style. It's so freakin good.
