That's a good question, TheBiz!. This was just a random stranger I encountered at a lottery machine. Some players are very secretive about their workups, so I didn't press for more info, just listened to what she had to say. FYI, the only other thing she said was that she is also expecting 7777 in the Pick 4. I just looked it up and 7777 has only fallen twice in the history of the Pick 4, the last time as 04/13/2004 Day: 7777 Night: 0251 about 13,734 draws ago. Poking around a bit in the Pick 4 numbers, I see that, since 04/13/2004 there are only two missing quads, 3333 and 7777. I'm not a big believer in "due" numbers, but it's probably reasonable to expect to see a 7777 somewhere along now in the Pick 4, but it could still be a long ways off.
The Pick 5, I have no earthly idea.
To bring this post back to the major focus of this Virginia Pick 3 thread, I'll say that I like to collect a lot of data before before I start thinking about new games because everything I do is based on patterns emerging in the numbers. The glitch in that line of thinking is that sometimes, in the early stages of a Pick 3 game (I'm talking about new States that are starting up new Pick 3 games), funny stuff happens. By "funny stuff" I mean after five or six thousand draws and before twenty thousand draws, there is a time when you have just enough data for crazy obvious patterns to appear, but not enough data for the law of large numbers to take over and dilute the patterns or cause patterns that actually aren't exciting to appear. For example, the way I originally got hooked on Pick 3 was in that middle period around six thousand draws in the Virginia lottery when 904 and 040 started falling together in a super regular way. I did well on that. I thought I had cracked the code! And then the pattern faded and 904 and 040 became just more numbers in a sea of numbers. We saw something similar in the North Carolina numbers and made a few nickels on that, too. Good Times!
Just my humble $0.02 worth based on a quarter century of intensive hands-on experience with Pick 3 data.
P.S. If anyone else is wondering if I've analyzed the most-recent six-thousand draw window of Virginia Pick 3 numbers, I did try that last year without much success. Maybe next year this time I'll try it again and see if anything pops up. You never know until you try.
I try to look for patterns as well. I realize patterns are only short term. So get it while it's hotI got hook on the numbers repeating in April and May. June it stopped
The patterns I see for June is all odd numbers hitting and --3 has been hot as well. I see this pattern as well if
577 hits then 755 combo hits later.
338 hit then 883 combo hits later.
223 hit then 332 combo hits later(today).
010 hit so I'm playing 011 combo.
060 hit so I'm playing 066 combo.
113 hit so I'm playing 133 combo.
We will see how this pans out.
In the pick 4 235_ and 237_ are red hot now. Last month I watched and didn't play 068_ and 168_ which was red hot.
