I thought I was going to have time to add a word of explanation to the above two charts, but family dinnertime and the the 20 minute board cutoff deadline caught me out. Sorry! The idea was to post two charts, one from the period of repeats we are currently experiencing and one from exactly the same period one year ago when we were experiencing a more normal level of repeats. I intended to count the numbers of boxed and straight repeats and add those to each chart, but I guess that ship has sailed. Anyway, if you view those charts side by side, it's pretty clear that something is different now - We are getting a LOT of repeats. I don't see any rhyme or reason to it except that it seems to have kicked in sometime in November because October 2024 looks pretty normal.

Anybody have any thoughts or see any kind of rhyme or reason to this? I'd be very interested to hear!
