  Lol. For very large wins, lotteries have to do basic due diligence for legal reasons. Asking when and where you got your ticket would be part of a vetting process. 

  Advising anyone to lie says a lot about some people. So someone comes forward and you lied about the origin of your ticket. Do you think you would be afforded any credibility at that point??? You would set yourself up for a long investigation and possible lawsuit. Why would anyone with any degree of common sense do that???

  When I stop at a grocery store lottery machine, I have had men offer me a ticket. I always say no thanks. But other women will take the ticket. It creeps me out.

  If there is a jp winner in that store, the "gift giver" could claim he lost his ticket or I promised to split it with him.

  I didn't know you were a Woman until this very post. I don't blame you for not letting men you don't know but you lottery tickets.

  Thanks but it is really a gender neutral issue. If a stranger is offering you something free out of the blue that is of a personal nature, it might be a scam as well.  Best to always say no and not be an easy mark.
