In 2008 I wrote Win Your Lottery by Lotto-Logix, procured hosting
and set it up as both a website and compiled it into an ebook.
The case was built around three lottery software titles, Advanced
Lotto Tool, Lottery Director and Lotwin, sadly the first two are no
longer with us.
Up until a few years ago Advanced Lotto Tool was still offered as a
download trial, but could not be purchased. The software was
authored in Croatia that was undergoing various actions of war.
The two authors simply vanished. Even those who ignore the
offers of the recruiters can still find themselves drafted and on
the front-lines. After WinXL the software could only be run within
Windows Machine, a somewhat complicated process to setup.
The author of Lottery Director retired. The entire product can be
found and downloaded from the Web Archive along with some
bonus software. The only con for those who didn't buy a copy
and for goodness sake don't overwrite your copy with the Web
Archive version, because the Archive version suffers from Tabula
Rasa forgetting the database each time the software is opened.
And no it is not a simple matter of saving a copy, try as you might.
The database only holds about 200 entries so it's not impossible
to work with the program. LD also comes with hundreds of
wheels that can be filtered so it is a keeper.
When Europe enacted a VAT tax it came close to putting software
developers like Lotwin out of business and much harder to do
business. Even so, the only other software that came close to
Lotwin was Advanced Lotto Tool and Lotto Hat. For me the best
feature of Lotwin is performing an autopsy on any draw and showing
you the exact minimal settings that would have put a jackpot in your
hands, allowing us to play a filter lottery instead of a numbers game.
The one thing we didn't have back then was AI. Oh we had neural nets
that didn't pan out, anyone know how to make Lotto Sync 1.8 run
without the author's website to verify the serial number every time?
After much promotional fanfare AI has failed to be of much use to
lotto players besides reminders it's a negative expectation game. The
trick with negative expectation games is to get out on a high. Slots
and Pick-3 are a lot like roller coasters with highs (wins) where you
break even or make a profit and escape while you can. The casinos
rake in slot profits at 5% for the house, why does the state need 50%
unless the sharper players would win enough to make the games
almost fair.
Anyway, the hosting company I was using went kaput. I decided to
move the web version to the Lotto-Logix website where the LotteryPost
thread starter post sent readers. https://www.lotterypost.com/thread/179425
to http://www.lotto-logix.com/winyourlottery.html and from there
instead of the donation page, directly to the free web version of the book.
If you are interested in winning the lottery and you haven't read it,
you should. If you read it back around 2008 refresh your memory.
