Container garden [new plants+ rosemary

The Swiss chard looks like it is going to survive.

The new flower plants are doing well.

The rosemary plant I planted this past spring and got up to about two feet and is still going strong. No one has used it for food seasoning and was thinking about the plant. I decided to check for medicinal use and found this. https://www.organicfacts.net/rosemary-tea.html

I read that over and decided to try it for my arthritis and joint problems. So I made up a cup a couple days ago and drank that. Noticed a drop in my muscle pain and decrease in joint pain to where it is almost gone. Today is my third day as I made a cup this morning. I can use either the rosemary straight from the plant or dried rosemary which I used this morning.

Rosemary has other beneficial medical uses for other ailments besides arthritis.

Has a nice relaxant quality to it also which I noticed.

Container garden

Transplanted four blue viola plants in a wooden container around the edge and transplanted one yellow pansy in the center. Transplanted the rest of the yellow pansy in the 2 1/2 gallon pails with one plant in each.

I had also purchased a container of Swiss chard plants having five plants in the container. Put four plants in my elevated 3 x 3 foot box and 1 plant in a 2 1/2 gallon pail. They were difficult to separate from each other with the roots intertwined together. Was not much root left but the plants are still alive after being transplanted a couple days.

The squash and tomato plants looks like they will not produce. Maybe find some other fall crop to put in those wooden containers.

This and that

Finished reading a book last night titled "Nowhere Else On Earth"

The story takes place in Robeson County NC during the Civil War. The story is about the Native Americans and the Lowrie family. Plus other inhabitants of that area.

It was then called Scuffletown by the locals. It was a great book.

I also read in the book speculation that the inhabitants of Scuffletown were/are descendants of the lost Raleigh Colony. That was something I had to ponder for a bit and thought it was quite possible.

Container garden [squash plants]

All the squash plants came up. Had them in the wooden containers with cages that I had made. Lost one plant with a split stem. Had some strong winds this past week and all the squash plants had their leaf stems snapped over and leaning. The strong winds forced the leaf stems onto the wire cage and most of them bent at that point. Some leaf stems were bent at the stalk connection. May lose all of them now. Wire cages do not look like a good idea for squash plants as the leaf stems are hollow making them easy to bend and break.

The Siberian tomato plant got ate up with bugs. Most of the leaves are ate up with holes in them and some leaves completely gone. Tomato plant not doing very well.

Planted some radishes which are not doing well. Very few germinated. Last years seeds.

Planted the Swiss chard seeds and only three came up.

The whole container garden went to he!!.

Guess I will plant flowers and herbs in the containers.

Getting to lamed up with my hip joint and arthritis in both legs to mess around with much of anything.
