Dry air in room ( no humidifier )

While sleeping in my bedroom at night especially during heating season the room is dry and I wake up with dry mouth and thirst during sleeping hours.

I do not have a humidifier to put humidity in the air. Do not feel like buying one either.

The other day I thought of an idea to put humidity in the room. I took a household pail yesterday and put about 4 inches of water in the bottom. Then took a small hand towel and moistened it in the water and draped it over a wooden rod which lays on the rim of the pail leaving the bottom of the towel in the water. The towel hanging  in the water acts as a wick.

It has been there about 24 hours and the towel is still wet and the water in the pail looks like it has used about one pint or so of water.

I awoke about 4:30 am and did not have a dry mouth and thirst The air feels more humid and does not have that dry heat feel.

So what is new in DC?

I see President Obama's face on the tv pushing the promised zones.
I see Pelosi bitch!in about the rich today.

All out media blitz by the dems to cover the Obamacare disaster.

The big news of the day is Walmart offers cheaper and better health insurance policies to their employees. Something like $139.00 month. I doubt if big news is going to cover that.

Obama is still speaking with his staged participants in the background.
