The Question Is Why?

It is very obvious that some republicans and tea party members hate President Obama. The question is why?

When then Senator Obama announced that he was running for president, the secret service had to start guarding him about six months before they normally start guarding presidential candidates, because of all the death threats he was receiving. So the question is why is that? What had he done that was so bad that they had to start guarding him that early? Did he murder somebody, rape somebody, rob a bank, or commit an act of terrorism? No he didn't.

All through the presidential campaign there were people protesting his candidacy, calling him a traitor, a socialist, a communist, a Muslim or an Arab, (which to their minds were all bad things) but none of this was true! But they still persisted in spewing their hatred toward him and were not amenable to reason or the truth.

The question still remains, what had candidate Obama done that was so egregious that it engendered that kind of intense hatred and hostility toward him?

When he became president the hatred and hostility didn’t stop, it intensified!

You had the so-called birthers attempting with all of their might to de-legitimize his presidency saying that he couldn’t be president because he wasn’t born in the United States. No matter how much data was examined or presented to show he was born in the United States, (birth certificate, announcement of his birth in two papers at the time) was not good enough for these people. It was all faked! The truth could only be what they fervently and bitterly believed the truth to be! They wouldn’t and probably still won’t accept anything less than what they believe to be true!

Did Bill Clinton or George W. Bush have to prove they were born in the United States to be president?

No they didn't.

At many of the so-called town hall meetings, angry protestors carried caricatures of the president as Adolf Hitler as well as other offensive racial images of him to show what a horrible person they think he is! But what had President Obama done to make them view him as Hitler or as someone who was the same type of person as Hitler?

Hitler killed millions of people, what had President Obama done that could be equated to what Hitler had done?

Let me answer that; nothing!

Then there was the healthcare scare. Obama is going to kill grandma!

These people just won’t quit! They want to de-legitimize his presidency and get him out of office by any means necessary.

Now everyone that dislikes the president is not a racist. Some may have legitimate political differences with him. That’s okay. They can disagree with him and have a civil discourse about it without spewing hate and hostility.

But republicans like Rush Limbaugh, Hannity, and others' stated agenda was to stop President Obama from being successful. Not to try to make the country better, to help people or to try to create more jobs, but to stop Obama! These people don't give a  hoot about the country only about stopping Obama. They proved this again and again by being against anything President Obama is for.

So the question remains, what has President Obama done that was so bad that these people have all these irrational ideas, feelings, beliefs and hatred toward him? It’s bigotry plain and simple.

To these people (including some in the congress) President Obama can do no good. He could walk on water, bring the dead back to life, wipe out world hunger, bring peace to the world and they’ll find a way to find something wrong with what he did. Because it’s not about what he did. It’s about what he is.

It has nothing to do with the content of his character, nothing to do with his competence as commander in chief and president, and everything to do with the color of his skin. And that's despicable and sad.

17% of Americans overall consider themselves tea party backers

Support for tea party is waning as more and more republicans want to return to their original agenda that the tea party has polluted with their asinine agenda. The GOP has lost its identity because of the tea party’s antics in Washington. The tea party is seen as the major reason for the shutdown.

It's never OK...

There are a group of bloggers that make it their business to TRY and intimidate, harass, insult, and ridicule anyone that does not agree with them. They have been doing this so long until they believe that they can continue this type of behavior with no consequences.

It’s never OK to ridicule someone’s profile by trying to pick it apart and lie about the information that’s there when you don’t know that person.

It’s never OK to criticize someone’s spelling when you clearly understand what that person is saying.

It’s never OK to start calling someone a name other than their screen name.

It’s never OK for three or four people to attack someone for a comment that was made about the topic of discussion that did not reference their name.

It’s never OK to attack someone’s family when you know absolutely nothing about them if you don’t want the same thing done to you.

Finally, it’s never OK to cry foul when you are guilty of doing the same thing you are accusing someone else of doing.

Koch brothers to the rescue

The Koch brothers owe all their wealth and success to socialism and to totalitarianism. Socialist cash is the foundation of the Koch family’s wealth. The tea party gets much of its funding from the Koch industries.

The Koch Brothers are oil-and-gas billionaires ready to buy any congressman, fund any lie, fight any law, bust any union, despoil any landscape, or shirk any (tax) burden to push their free-market religion and pump up their profits. Yes, it is all about how money they can make from the American people's misery.

Blind Ideology

Republican members of Congress have tried to repeal President Obama’s health care law for the 40th time! Trying and then trying again only confirms their radical, blind ideology. They choose not to see, or worse yet do not care, that the American health care system is not only corrupt but also deadly. Because of this ideology, the Republican Party will have to take responsibility for the forty-five thousand people who die every year because they have no insurance or lack adequate insurance.
Since the stock answer from the Republican members of Congress is “repeal and replace,” they might choose to show real leadership and responsibility by introducing a bill for Universal Health Care. Thirty-two of the thirty-three developed nations around the world already have Universal Health Care, with the United States being that thirty-third lone exception. The least the Republican Congress should do is to stop trying to kill the business in the United States seems to be the catalyst for this blind ideology on the part of the Republicans in Congress. This past year the NRA spent $18 million on lobbying and campaign contributions to the Republican Party. This inability to pass any National Gun Regulation law makes them, at the very least, partially responsible for the 30,000 Americans that are killed by gun violence each year.
This blind ideology, displayed by the Republican Congress, began on the eve of President Obama’s election to the Presidency. A secret meeting took place attended by Republican elected officials and the only discussion at this meeting was how to stop President Obama. They all PLEDGED to make him a ONE TIME PRESIDENT and to NEVER COMPRIMISE and to just say NO to any future legislative plans. This destructive tactic forces one to ask the question were the Republicans against Obama because of his policies or because he was the first Black President? Since racism is still so prevalent in our Country this is a legitimate question. Does the same prejudice that existed for Jackie Robinson still exist today? Jackie Robinson was subjected to the worst kind of racial slurs and hate-filled remarks one could imagine. One has only to listen and look to see these same racial prejudices within many of our Nations Lawmakers. They may not be as blatant, but they are no less relevant.
President Obama may not be the President you voted for, but he is the President. The President that won election and the President that was re-elected by the majority of the American people. Whatever the reasons might be that this Republican Congress is not working with this President are impacting ALL of the American people. Ideology is fine to a point, but when it begins to hurt the majority of our Countries citizens then it must be set aside and the People’s work must be done. This is where our vote counts. This is where we, the people get to say. Add your voice by using your vote and making it count in 2014 and 2016.

Most Mass Murderers and Serial Killers are Republicans

Statistically, the average serial killer is a white male from a lower-to-middle-class background, usually in his twenties or thirties. Many were physically or emotionally abused by parents. Some were adopted. As children, fledgling serial killers often set fires, torture animals, and wet their beds (these red-flag behaviors are known as the "triad" of symptoms.) Brain injuries are common. Some are very intelligent and have shown great promise as successful professionals. They are also fascinated with the police and authority in general. They have either attempted to become police themselves but were rejected, worked as security guards, or served in the military. Many, including John Gacy, the Hillside Stranglers, and Ted Bundy, have disguised themselves as law enforcement officials to gain access to their victims.

The emphasis is no longer on the killers but now is on the party one belongs. This is sad. Why would repubs present inaccurate facts? They do this to try to take the attention off of all the horrendous, sick, and perverted things that they are doing.

Boston Homeless Man Glen James Rewarded for Returning Lost Backpack

The Boston homeless man who last weekend turned in a lost backpack containing nearly $42,000 in checks and cash was honored Monday with a special citation from police, just as an online fundraising campaign raised over $16,000 for his cause.

Glen James said in a written statement that he "would not have kept even a penny" of the $2,400 in cash and almost $40,000 in traveler's checks he found last Saturday in a black backpack outside a TJ Maxx store in the Boston neighborhood of Dorchester.

James turned the backpack into police, who then returned it to the visiting Chinese student who had accidentally left the bag outside the store. The backpack also contained the student's passport.

Boston Police Commissioner Edward Davis thanked James for his "extraordinary show of character and honesty" during a news conference Monday. James declined to speak, choosing instead to issue a statement.

James, who did not give his age, said in his statement that he is from Boston and has been homeless since 2005 after losing his job as a file clerk in the Boston municipal court system, according to The Associated Press. He said he relies on food stamps and panhandling to get by.

"It's just nice to have some money in one's pocket so that as a homeless man I don't feel absolutely broke all the time," he said of the generosity of others.

James' fortunes will likely change, thanks to the publicity his good deed has received. Just hours after his identity was made public, an online fundraising campaign was started by Ethan Whittington, a complete stranger.

Whittington's page for James on the GoFundMe.com website has raised nearly $17,000 towards its $50,000 goal in less than 24 hours.

"UNBELIEVABLE, the amount of support Glen is receiving right now. I am currently in the process of finding out more about Glen. Whats his situation currently? What does he need? How can we best help him? Once this is determined, I will lay out a financial plan. (Apartment deposit/ down payment, rent, utilities, clothes, food, job consultation, etc.)," Whittington wrote in an update on the page this morning. "I am also in contact with a few people about the possibility of housing help. Keep up the great work everyone!

Out of all that happened to Mr. James, he still kept his dignity and integrity. This no one can take away. May GOD shower His blessings on him.

When will it stop?

Miss America 2014 winner, Nina Davuluri, is crowned at Boardwalk Hall Arena on September 15, in Atlantic City. Davuluri, from New York, is the first woman of Indian descent to be crowned Miss America.

Miss America crowns 1st winner of Indian descent

By CNN Staff

updated 3:57 PM EDT, Mon September 16, 2013

(CNN) -- She's the second consecutive New York beauty queen to take the Miss America title, but she's the first Indian-American to wear the national crown -- er, tiara -- atop her perfectly coiffed head.

"I was the first Indian Miss New York, and I'm so proud to be the first Indian Miss America," Nina Davuluri said after she won.

Davuluri's resume goes considerably deeper than her heritage, however.

The 24-year-old Fayetteville, New York, native was on the dean's list and earned the Michigan Merit Award and National Honor Society nods while studying at the University of Michigan, where she graduated with a degree in brain behavior and cognitive science

Miss America: Butt glue, 'Breaking Bad' jokes and more highlights

Her father, who emigrated from India 30 years ago, is a gynecologist, and Davuluri said she'd like to become a physician one day as well.

"During her year as Miss America she will serve as spokesperson for STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) this year as she travels to Washington, D.C., to work with the Department of Education," according to a Miss America statement.

She also is passionate about healthy lifestyles after battling obesity and bulimia when she was younger.

Davuluri's platform was "Celebrating Diversity Through Cultural Competency." For the talent portion of the competition, she performed classic Indian dances fused with Bollywood moves.

She has studied the Kuchipudi and Bharatanatyam styles of dance, and in preparation for the Miss America contest, she worked with famed Bollywood choreographer Nakul Dev Mahajan.

Miss California Crystal Lee was first runner-up, and Miss Oklahoma Kelsey Griswold was second runner-up, while Theresa Vail, the tattooed, bow-hunting, Chinese-speaking Miss Kansas, won the online viewers' poll.

Despite a night of firsts, a tired theme emerged following Davuluri's victory: Racists took to Twitter to lambaste the pageant for picking an Indian-American. They were none too kind to Davuluri herself, either, with one particularly uninformed tweeter calling her a Muslim.

Something similar happened when Rima Fakih was crowned Miss USA in 2010. Fakih is of Lebanese descent, and many were quick to try to link her to the militant group Hezbollah.

POOTIN-Repubs new HERO

The repubs in an attempt to demonstrate their hate for President Obama now look to Russia for a hero, since there seem to be an absence of one in their own party. The repubs have now sunk to a new low, they now view POOTIN as their HERO. That’s right, the president of a communist country. This man despises everything the UNITED STATES stands for. Yet the repubs are willing to put aside their principles to worship this man. This same man is providing weapons to Iraq and Afghanistan to kill American soldiers…THIS IS UNAMERICAN! Screw how you fell about President Obama. This is fraternizing with the enemy. This is no different than the picture of Jane Fonda sitting on the anti-aircraft gun. The people of Russia see the repubs as gullible and easy to manipulate. Repubs honestly think that Pootin is doing them a favor by insulting the POTUS, but in reality he is insulting AMERICANS, because that is who the POTUS represents.

Even the right-wing talk show hosts have jumped on the bandwagon, how sad and pathetic all of them are. But out of fairness, not all the repubs are impressed with POOTIN.

During a news conference Thursday, House Speaker John Boehner said, "I was insulted," when he read Putin’s editorial.

Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., in a tweet, called Putin’s words "an insult": "Putin’s NYT op-ed is an insult to the intelligence of every American."

Sen. James M. Inhofe, R-Okla., said in an interview with CNN on Thursday that he too was not a fan of Putin’s piece: "I could hear Reagan turning over in his grave."

Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, an opponent of the use of military force in Syria, said on the Senate floor Wednesday, "I would caution all of us – the American people and all of our colleagues – to be skeptical for good reason at this lifeline that Vladimir Putin has now thrown the administration."

The repubs idolize Pootin now, next they will probably offer him a leadership role in the Republican Party. SAD>
