"...Still, the order will lift Obama administration limits on short-term health insurance plans, allowing the plans to last as long as 12 months and be renewed. The change to short-term health insurance could damage the stability of ObamaCare.  The fear from Democrats is that healthier people will migrate to cheaper, short-term plans, leaving only sicker people in ObamaCare plans and driving up premiums.

The source said the new rules for short-term plans are where administration officials think the order will have the "most immediate impact."

 The order will also allow people to use tax-advantaged accounts known as Health Reimbursement Accounts to pay for their premiums.

Meanwhile, as democrats scream bloody murder around 11am tomorrow when Trump is signing the EO, one person will be delighted: Sen. Rand Paul has been pushing for this order for months, arguing that allowing small businesses to band together to buy insurance gives them leverage to lower premiums. Paul is expected to be in attendance at the unveiling at the White House on Thursday."

"I don't have enough four-letter words for these propagandists.  There are an estimated 450,000 consumers like us in Colorado and 17 million of us nationwide -- small-business owners, independent contractors and others who don't get their plans through group coverage, big companies or government employers. The costs, headaches and disruption in our lives caused by Obamacare's meddling meddlers are real and massive.

But we're puzzles to corporate media journalists who've never had to meet a payroll and don't even know what is the individual market.

We're invisible to late-night TV clowns  who get their Obamacare-at-all-costs talking points from Chuck Schumer.

"...According to records from the Nevada Prescription Monitoring Program obtained by the paper on Tuesday, Paddock was prescribed 50 10-milligram diazepam tablets on June 21 by Henderson, Nevada physician Dr. Steven Winkler. Diazepam – better known by its brand name, Valium – is a sedative and muscle relaxer in the class of drugs known as benzodiazepines, which studies have shown can cause aggressive behavior in some patients. Chronic use has also been linked to psychotic episodes.

Paddock purchased the drug without insurance at a Walgreens store in Reno on the same day it was prescribed. He was supposed to take one pill a day. "If somebody has an underlying aggression problem and you sedate them with that drug, they can become aggressive,” said Dr. Mel Pohl, chief medical officer of the Las Vegas Recovery Center. “It can disinhibit an underlying emotional state. … It is much like what happens when you give alcohol to some people … they become aggressive instead of going to sleep.”

The effects of the drug are amplified by alcohol, Pohl said. ...."

"The IRS would never push legal boundaries in order to pursue the ideological agenda of a political party in Washington D.C., right?  Well, aside from that time that Lois Lerner used her position inside the IRS to target Tea Party Organizations in order to help Obama get re-elected in 2012, of course.

While we all may wish that were the case, new documents obtained by  Judicial Watch  (JW) today via a FOIA request seem to indicate that the IRS may have overstepped it's bounds when it sent out letters to taxpayers threatening them with monetary penalties if they failed to sign up for Obamacare.  As JW notes,  the IRS spent a staggering $5 million to develop a program specifically designed to intimidate voters into signing up for the controversial healthcare legislation.

Judicial Watch today announced it received two production of documents, 77 pages and 108 pages, from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) revealing the Obama IRS coordinated with the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Obama White House Behavioral Sciences  “Team” in a $5 million program to pressure Americans to sign up for Obamacare.  The documents also contain inter-agency agreements between the IRS and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) devised to circumvent potential legal prohibitions on unauthorized disclosure or inspection of taxpayer information collected by the IRS.

 In September 2016, IRS Director of Individual Taxation Janet McCubbin writes to several of her colleagues:

 Attached are drafts of the letters that IRS will send to selected taxpayers who paid a penalty for failure to have coverage  or who claimed an exemption form the coverage requirement for tax year 2015 …  As you know, we are planning to send several different versions of the letter to see which types of messages work best.

Of course, by suggesting that several letters were drafted to see which "messages work best," McCubbin seems to give away her hand that her goal was not simply to inform taxpayers, but rather to coerce them into pursuing her desired outcome.

But that's not the only foul here as JW also asserts that the IRS  "may have overstepped its authority by  threatening people  with penalty fees." ..."
