Condoleezza Rice Backs Trump's 'Bleak Picture' Strategy on N. Korea

Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Saturday that she backed the Trump White House in "painting a very bleak picture for the Chinese" about North Korea as tensions increase over its nuclear ambitions.

"I don't think any American president can tolerate that leader with the capacity to reach the United States," said Rice, referring to dictator Kim Jong Un,  The Hill reports.

Rice, 62, who served in the George W. Bush administration, made her comments at the Library of Congress' Book Festival in Washington.

"What the administration is trying to do — and I support what they're trying to do — is they're painting a very bleak picture for the Chinese," she said. "That's the only country with any real leverage on the North Koreans."

Rice explained that Beijing remains reluctant to intervene out of fears North Korea could collapse and create a refugee crisis on their border, the Hill reports.

Her comments came before the state-run  KCNA news agency reported that Pyongyang had developed a more advanced nuclear weapon and that Kim had inspected a hydrogen bomb that could be loaded onto a new intercontinental ballistic missile.

Rice also referenced Kim's threats last month to fire missiles off Guam, which brought a strong response from President Donald Trump.

"At some point the American president — and I'm not inside, so don't know what he's being told about how long he has — but at some point if you're threatening Guam and already firing missiles over Japan, we're getting pretty close to a denouement," she said.

"We're getting pretty close to a president having to make a decision."

But they'll spend the next several days wading in cold, dirty water; dodging gators and water moccasins and fire ants; eating whatever meager rations are available; and sleeping wherever they can in dirty, damp clothes. Their reward is the tears and the hugs and the smiles from the terrified people they help. They'll deliver one boatload, and then go back for more. 

When disaster strikes, it's what men do. Real men. Heroic men. American men. And then they'll knock back a few shots, or a few beers with like-minded men they've never met before, and talk about fish, or ten-point bucks, or the benefits of hollow-point ammo, or their F-150. 

And the next time they hear someone talk about "the patriarchy", or "male privilege", they'll snort, turn off the TV and go to bed. 

In the meantime, they'll likely be up again before dawn. To do it again. Until the helpless are rescued. And the work's done. 

They're unlikely to be reimbursed. There won't be medals. They won't care. They're heroes. And it's what heroes do.

  Some are apparently "triggered" because they are posting how "sick" you feel about the results.

  How did this happen you ask? Well here is how it happened!

You created "us" when you attacked our freedom of speech.

  You created "us" when you attacked our right to bear arms.

  You created "us" when you attacked our Christian beliefs.

  You created "us" when you constantly referred to us as racists.

  You created "us" when you constantly called us xenophobic.

You created "us" when you told us to get on board or get out of the way.

You created "us" when you attacked our flag

  You created "us" when you took God out of our schools.

  You created "us" when you confused women's rights with feminism.

  You created "us" when you began to emasculate men.

  You created "us" when you decided to make our children soft.

You created "us" when you decided to vote for progressive ideals.

  You created "us" when you attacked our way of life.

You created "us" when you decided to let our government get out of control.

  You created "us" the silent majority

  You created "us" when you began murdering innocent law enforcement officers.

  You created "us" when you lied and said we could keep our insurance plans and our doctors

  You created "us" when you allowed our jobs to continue to leave our country.

You created "us" when you took a knee, or stayed seated or didn't remove your hat during our National Anthem.

You created "us" when you forced us to buy health care and then financially penalized us for not participating.

        And we became fed up and we pushed back and spoke up.

  And we did it with ballots,  not bullets.

  With ballots,  not riots.

  With ballots,  not looting.

  With ballots,  not blocking traffic.

  With ballots,  not fires, except the one you started inside of "us"

  "YOU" created "US".

 The whole sentence is Cria cuervos y te sacaran los ojos = Raise crows and they'll peck your eyes out. Which means that you raise or help another person that turns to be ungrateful with you. It's somehow similar to "bite the hand that feeds them". For example, on Spain when a child is disrespectful with his/her parents, they say "aaayyy, cria cuervos!!".

A horse named Reckless...

Reckless  was a pack horse during the Korean war, and she carried recoil-less rifles, ammunition and supplies to Marines.

Nothing too unusual about that, lots of animals got pressed into doing pack chores in many wars.

But this horse did something more…. during the battle for a location called Outpost Vegas, 

this mare made 51 trips up and down the hill, on the way up she carried ammunition, and on the way down she carried 

wounded soldiers…

What was so amazing?

Well she made every one of those trips through enemy fire and without  anyone leading her.

Does Black Success Matter?

"We keep hearing that "black lives matter," but they seem to matter only when that helps politicians to get votes, or when that slogan helps demagogues demonize the police. The other 99 percent of black lives destroyed by people who are not police do not seem to attract nearly as much attention in the media.

What about black success? Does that matter? Apparently not so much.

We have heard a lot about black students failing to meet academic standards. So you might think that it would be front-page news when some whole ghetto schools not only meet, but exceed, the academic standards of schools in more upscale communities.

There are in fact whole chains of charter schools where black and Hispanic youngsters score well above the national average on tests. There are the KIPP (Knowledge IS Power Program) schools and the Success Academy schools, for example.

Only 39 percent of all students in New York state schools who were tested recently scored at the "proficient" level in math, but 100 percent of the students at the Crown Heights Success Academy school scored at that level in math. Blacks and Hispanics are 90 percent of the students in the Crown Heights Success Academy.

The Success Academy schools in general ranked in the top 2 percent in English and in the top 1 percent in math. Hispanic students in these schools reached the "proficient" level in math nearly twice as often as Hispanic students in the regular public schools. Black students in these Success Academy schools reached the "proficient" level more than twice as often as black students in the regular public schools.

What makes this all the more amazing is that these charter schools are typically located in the same ghettos or barrios where other blacks or Hispanics are failing miserably on the same tests. More than that, successful charter schools are often physically housed in the very same buildings as the unsuccessful public schools.

In other words, minority kids from the same neighborhood, going to school in classes across the hall from each other, or on different floors, are scoring far above average and far below average on the same tests.

If black success was considered half as newsworthy as black failures, such facts would be headline news — and people who have the real interests of black and other minority students at heart would be asking, "Wow! How can we get more kids into these charter schools?"

Many minority parents have already taken notice. More than 43,000 families are on waiting lists to get their children into charter schools. But admission is by lottery, and far more have to be turned away than can be admitted.

Why? Because the teachers' unions are opposed to charter schools — and they give big bucks to politicians, who in turn put obstacles and restrictions on the expansion of charter schools. These include politicians like New York's "progressive" mayor Bill de Blasio, who poses as a friend of blacks by denigrating the police, standing alongside Al Sharpton.

The net result is that 90 percent of New York City's students are taught in the regular public schools that have nothing like the success of charter schools run by KIPP and Success Academy."

    THE PRESIDENT’S ACCOMPLISHMENTS TO DATE

A few days ago, i received an email that threw some light on trump’s accomplishments over this last while, and it was of great interest.   Now we have all heard of the negative things that are attributed to Trump as the media has made sure that they keep the heat on him at every corner. But what about news of the good things he has done for the country? Is there anything in the papers? I have not seen anything.

Yet, there have been some very good things this fellow has done which escape many as these things are not published in favor of the negative junk. Now, you have to remember that trump is not a politician. He is a ceo. I bet he would have loved to clean house and fire everybody and redo everything the way it should be done, but that in the usa is an impossible task without taking over the country by force. The other politicians would never allow it, and would have presented a formidable opposition.

But when a company hires a CEO to turn their company around, a good CEO does do that. He walks into a company and looks at it, and cuts the crap out and fires people and replaces them with competent people that can and will do the work.   Very difficult to do when you are a businessman and faced with politicians that you cannot fire otherwise you do not have any support. What a job to tackle. I do not envy him.

So what has Ttrump done that has prompted me to write on him?

WHO KNEW?    Not those that get their news from the main stream media! They only talk about the phony Russian story. Every Lefty in the US is trying to derail the Trump Administration. It’s time that we fight back. Spread the word.
