President Donald Trump on Friday condemned the recent  deadly attack on a mosque in Egypt that killed at least 235 people, using the incident to renew calls for a wall along the US-Mexico border and a ban on travelers from certain majority-Muslim countries.

 

"Will be calling the President of Egypt in a short while to discuss the tragic terrorist attack, with so much loss of life,"  Trump said on Twitter. "We have to get TOUGHER AND SMARTER than ever before, and we will. Need the WALL, need the BAN! God bless the people of Egypt."

 

The attack occurred early on Friday in the North Sinai town of Bir al-Abed, when Islamist militants set off at least two bombs in a Sufi mosque, according to reports from the  Associated Press and  New York Times. 

 

The militants also set up ambush locations and opened fire on the fleeing worshippers and arriving ambulances.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far, but the militants are believed to be affiliated with ISIS.

Earlier that day, Trump had  decried the incident as a "horrible and cowardly terrorist attack on innocent and defenseless worshipers in Egypt."

Trump has long called for dramatic restrictions on travel and immigration to the United States, purportedly for national security reasons, including through the construction of a US-Mexico border wall and a ban on travel from certain majority-Muslim countries. 

 

It was unclear from Trump’s tweet on Friday, however

, what connection either measure would have with the attack in Egypt. Trump’s latest travel ban, which is currently being litigated before two federal appeals courts, targeted eight countries, none of which were Egypt.

There are many ways that Democrats choose to defend the actions and motives that were behind the deal that gave Russia 25% of U.S. uranium. Some will even point to one foolish Fox host who took the side of the Democrats, yet the best way to sway those on the left (if they are fair) is to simply show them the proof.    D.C. Whispers has done just that and the  EVIDENCE  SHOWS that Obama was warned of what a horrid deal the Fusion GPS/Uranium One  arrangement was  from the beginning. It can be proven that “the warning was issued December 21st, 2010” during a time that Hillary Clinton was still Obama’s Secretary of State.

 

It is known that the deal “had just been awarded to Russian government-controlled interests” and that it “made no sense.” It made the United States much weaker and it allowed Putin to help Iran along with a plan that is designed to bring the U.S. to its knees.

 

Now that we know that this letter exists, there is no way for Democrats to say that Obama did not know what he was doing.

 

The only people that the deal really seemed to benefit were those at the corrupt Clinton Foundation, a charity so foul that even other Democrats are  no longer donating to it.

Senator John Barrasso (R-WY) did his job and tried to warn anyone who would listen. He called it “alarming” that “this sale gives ARMZ a significant stake in uranium mines in Kazakhstan.”

Let us remember that uranium is a poison even when it is used peacefully and no mishaps happen, as seen in the cancer rates which spike near nuclear power plants. Likewise, when these power stations go red, they release toxins which are damaging beyond the ability of science to calculate using modern methods.

 

When used for purposes of weapon’s making or warfare, a practice that both Russia and Iran support, the result is nothing short of the absolute end of humanity. There is no other way to put it more clearly. This is the material that Obama and Clinton allowed to flow in great amounts to Vladimir Putin as they accuse Trump of having Russian ties…the ultimate irony.

The Republican from Wyoming also pointed out in the letter to Obama that Russia supports other nations which are hostile to the U.S., including Venezuela.    At “great odds to our national security,”  Barrasso warned the U.S. president about the nuclear risks there as well, yet Obama proves to be deaf on the matter.

 

Why would Obama purposefully ignore a warning from a U.S. Senator that America was being played and put in danger?

 

Yes, Obama ignored a Senator who warned of how America’s national security was being put in harm’s way, a fact that no Democrat can deny now that the undeniable proof has surfaced.

The letter is worth reading because it can be seen how hard Barrasso worked to ensure that the best interests of our country were thought of first.   Woefully, the president at the time did not seem to care very much

The leader of the Russian Orthodox Church said Monday the world is on the brink of slipping into “the abyss of the end of history,” according to a state-run news agency. The apocalypse “is already visible to the naked eye,” Patriarch Kirill told congregants after a service at the Christ the Savior Cathedral in Moscow, reported  RIA Novosti.

He said there could be a saving grace for the world—society uniting. "Today is not the time to rock the boat of human passions. Today is the time to rally all healthy forces," Kirill said. "That's why the church, art, culture, our writers, scientists—all those people who love the Motherland—should come together because we are entering a critical period in human civilization.”

Kirill's call comes at a time when world unity seems far-fetched.

DETROIT — Thousands of Detroit area Catholics knew  Father Solanus Casey as a miracle worker.

On Saturday, the Catholic Church officially recognized that quality in the late Capuchin friar, declaring him “Blessed Solanus” in a beatification Mass at Ford Field.

 

"I've been waiting for this day for 14 years," said Lily Flask of Livonia, Mich., who believes Casey's intercession helped save her husband from heart problems in 2003. "I prayed every day to him. ... I had to be here today."

 

The rare ceremony put Casey, who co-founded the Capuchin Soup Kitchen here, one step and one miracle away from being declared a Catholic saint. Detroit's ceremony was the third time a beatification has occurred in the United States and the first for an American-born man.

 

Casey, born Bernard "Barney" Francis Casey in Oak Grove, Wis., died in 1957 years ago in Detroit. But when he was the doorkeeper of St. Bonaventure Monastery on the city's east side from 1924 to 1945, his prayers and presence gave comfort to visitors suffering from illness and trauma. 

 

Flask and her husband, Salvino, were waiting in line for was the largest Catholic service in Michigan since 1987 when Pope John Paul II presided over Mass at the Silverdome in Pontiac. The same mammoth wooden altar and matching pulpit were used in Saturday's service; 70,000 tickets were given away, and about 60,000 came despite a gray day with some rain and a high around 45 degrees, archdiocese officials said.

 

Casey was beatified Saturday because the Vatican and its experts said they could find no scientific explanation of how one woman’s genetic, disfiguring skin disease disappeared in the hours after she prayed at Casey’s tomb.  Cardinal Angelo Amato, the prefect for the Vatican’s Congregation for the Causes of Saints, presided at the Mass and led the rite of beatification.

 

As the near-capacity crowd stood, Amato, wearing a large golden mitre, read out loud in Latin an Apostolic letter from Pope Francis bestowing on Casey the honorific “Blessed Solanus."

 

The crowd applauded as Amato stood up to display the decree. Detroit Archbishop Allen Vigneron read an English version. A life-size banner of Blessed Solanus was unfurled on the altar platform.

Zarate, a retired schoolteacher from Panamá whose skin disease was healed after she prayed at Casey’s tomb.

 

“Detroit is the place of my dreamings now,” said Zarate, through tears during a phone call earlier this month. “I never expected to find life in a tomb.”

 

The presence of Zarate, carrying a wooden cross-shaped reliquary containing relics of bone removed from Casey’s remains, had special significance in Detroit, a city whose residents are about 80% African-American. Only a small percentage of Catholics in the U.S. are black.

 

“In time of trouble and sorrow, they sought his prayers and advice. Many people believed he had the gifts of healing and prophecy,” said Brother Richard Merling, a Capuchin friar who worked for decades as the co-vice postulator for Casey’s sainthood cause. “He constantly showed his love of God by loving all God’s people” and told the faithful, “I have two loves: the sick and the poor.”

 

The Mass included about 500 priests, including the Detroit Archdiocese’s retired leader, Cardinal Adam Maida; the pope’s apostolic nuncio to the U.S., Archbishop Christophe Pierre; Boston Cardinal Sean O’Malley; and Newark, N.J., Cardinal Joseph Tobin, a native Detroiter. 

 

Tobin said he came for the beatification because Casey “is a Detroit saint, and he speaks to every Detroiter, and the ones who are looked over or forgotten.”

 

Tobin’s sister, Gerarda Tobin of Grosse Pointe Woods, led the planning committee for the beatification.

The program was done in English, Chaldean, Spanish, Tagalog and Vietnamese, reflecting the multicultural makeup of the Archdiocese of Detroit, which has about 1.3 million Catholics. It was planned to be simple, yet elegant service, reflecting the personality of Casey, said Edward Foley, a Capuchin friar from Chicago who coordinated the liturgy.

 

“We’re just joyed to be here to be witness of this,” said Janie Graves, 64, who came with her husband, David Graves, 59, and daughter Catherine Graves, 26. Graves’ son, Jason Graves, 30, is a Capuchin deacon who was at the altar during the beatification Mass and will take his vows in January.

Flask was of several Catholics who say that Casey's blessing has helped them cope with illness. 

Eleeno Sammut of Detroit said that he was diagnosed with prostate cancer four years ago, but after praying to Casey, it went away. 

 

"Thank you, Father Solanus," Sammut said. "I pray to him every single day. I believe in him. I'm a believer."

More than 300 of Casey's relatives were at the ceremony, seated in sections directly in front of the altar. 

They came from as far as Ireland. Many wore buttons with Casey's photo, and ribbons embossed with his famous saying "Thank God Ahead of Time"  and  "Casey Family."

 

Carol Daly was there with her grandson, Chase Kosoglow, 5 months, of Sacramento, who probably earned the title of youngest Casey relative in attendance. Daly and her four sisters, all granddaughters of Blessed Solanus'  youngest sister, Genevieve Casey McCluskey, came to Detroit for the Mass.

"It's a blessing and an honor to be here and to bring a small child here," said Daly, also of Sacramento. "We'll have a story to tell him."

 

Whenever someone asked Kate Kosoglow, Daly's daughter-in-law, why they were planning a trip to Detroit, she said she gleefully explained: "My husband's great-great uncle is getting beatified."

Her parish priest thought that was cool.

 

"Nobody in my family is worth beatifying," she said he told her.

Casey’s elevation illustrates “ordinary people who bring Jesus to the world around them,” said Rocco Palmo, a Philadelphia-based Vatican observer who authors the Catholic news website  WhispersInTheLoggia.com. It is something anyone can do, and all of us are called to do.

 

Now that Casey’s declared “blessed,” his image can be included in paintings and statues inside churches throughout southeastern Michigan. More Catholic pilgrims will visit the Father Solanus Center on Detroit’s east side.

Beatification also brings with it a feast day, July 30, dedicated to Blessed Solanus, to be celebrated on the church's liturgical calendar in Michigan and in Capuchin order-run churches elsewhere. It means statues and paintings of Casey can be placed inside Catholic churches because now he can be a subject of public veneration.

With beatification, the churches in the six-county Archdiocese of Detroit and Capuchin-run churches and monasteries worldwide will be allowed to invoke Blessed Solanus’ name in official church prayers and rituals. Before Saturday, such devotion to Casey was expressed through individual or private prayer.

 

Before the Mass in the stadium’s concourse, concessions and confessions were offered. Priests were stationed in quiet corridors for Catholics who wanted to partake in the Sacrament of Penance/Reconciliation before the beatification Mass.

 

Cheryl Haines, 71, of Warren, Mich., always has felt a connection to Casey. She sat in a wheelchair outside Ford Field before the Mass, her longtime friend Sandy Smith, 75, of St. Clair Shores, Mich., standing behind her. 

Haines said she hopes Casey will intercede on her behalf for healing.

 

“I have health needs. If it helps, it would be wonderful, but I’m not expecting it,” she said. 

This isn’t the first time Father Greg Mirto of Houston has paid respect to Casey in Detroit. 

In 1999, he made a pilgrimage to Casey's tomb, where he prayed and asked for help in building his church. The next year, construction began at St. William Catholic Church in Fort Lupton, Colo., Mirto said. 

“And the church has been built, so I came back to give thanks to the Lord for Father Solanus,” Mirto said.

Kevin Coupe, 49, of Kansas City, Mo., had a photo of Casey with symbols of the Detroit Tigers; Lions; and a fiddle, which represented Casey's love of playing Irish songs on his violin.

 

"He was a poor man, a humble man," Coupe said of Casey. "In the world today, people need to be humble."

Coupe had expected to travel to Detroit three years ago to visit the Solanus Casey Center and the monastery where Casey lived. But he unexpectedly suffered a back injury and was unable to make it.

He knew he had to be here, walking one mile from his hotel to Ford Field. 

"He knew life was full of disappointments," Couple said of Casey. "That's why people are so drawn to him."

Democratic congresswoman begs to avoid jail time for charity theft

 

Former Democratic Rep. Corrine Brown asked for leniency from a federal judge in Florida on Friday. She faces a lengthy prison term after being convicted of stealing thousands of dollars that were meant to go to charity. In May, a jury convicted Brown of 18 felony counts, including filing false tax returns, mail fraud, and working with others to run a fake non-profit group. Her conviction represents a major fall from political grace. Brown was one of the first black elected officials to be elected to federal office in Florida in 1992. She represented the Jacksonville, Florida area in the U.S. House of Representatives for over 20 years as a Democrat before losing a party primary in 2016.

 

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand on Thursday went to a place that few Democrats have dared or cared to go when it comes to allegations of sexual assault: Calling out Bill Clinton:

 

"should have resigned" !

Asked directly if she believed Mr. Clinton should have stepped down (when he faced his own allegations as president), Ms. Gillibrand took a long pause and said, “Yes, I think that is the appropriate response.”

That long pause suggests this was not something that the senator from New York said lightly, nor that she necessarily planned on saying. Yet here we are.

 

It's difficult to overstate the potential significance of Gillibrand's response to the question about the former president. While the comments might have been somewhat buried in a day of multiple huge news stories —  sexual assault allegations against Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.), the Roy Moore saga,  Robert Menendez's mistrial and the passage of the House GOP tax bill — it could reverberate for years for Gillibrand and possibly for longer for the Clintons.

 

In one respect, it's not so surprising that Gillibrand would go there on Bill Clinton. She's been perhaps the Senate's most vocal member on sexual assault. But in another respect, it's a highly unexpected and fraught move.

 

Gillibrand just so happens to come from the state where Hillary Clinton served in the Senate, and she was appointed to Clinton's old seat before winning it in her own right. She is also thought to have aspirations of running for president in 2020. This stance would seem to have the dual effect of distinguishing her on a very important issue in that race, but also of potentially alienating the many well-heeled and influential supporters and donors she has in common with the Clintons.

At least one former top Hillary Clinton aide sent a warning shot Gillibrand's way on Thursday night. Philippe Reines's tweet downplayed the allegations against Bill Clinton and suggested that Gillibrand was a hypocritical ingrate. He also ominously pointed to the 2020 presidential race — a not-so-veiled warning that Gillibrand just alienated the wrong people.

“Over 20 yrs you took the Clintons' endorsements, money, and seat. Hypocrite,” he wrote. “Interesting strategy for 2020 primaries. Best of luck.”

NBC:  Having Children Is  ‘Immoral’ Because It Harms the Earth    N

NBC – which is still a national major media outlet, mind you – ran the following headline written by a guy named Travis Rieder, who, according to his byline, is the director of the Master of Bioethics degree program and a research scholar at the Berman Institute of Bioethics.

The headline reads:

“Science proves kids are bad for Earth. Morality suggests we stop having them.“

On a base level, the argument is the same old tired trope that environmental extremists have been peddling for some time now – that humans are subpar to the intrinsic value of a fichus, that that you should place the wellbeing of the common dung beetle over your own 5-year-old son, because #PlanetEarth.

 

But while equally as oblivious to its own inane, cultish drivel as most Hug-a-Grizzly propaganda, Rieder’s article is perhaps even less apologetic than most, charging straight past the “Maybe don’t have 17 children, please” line and heading pell-mell for “Have kids, and I swear by my organic hemp poncho we will hunt them down” territory.

 

Think that’s an exaggeration?   Take Reider’s own words, in which he lines up his argument by comparing his own daughter to a murderer.  “If I release a murderer from prison, knowing full well that he intends to kill innocent people, then I bear some responsibility for those deaths — even though the killer is also fully responsible…

 

 “Something similar is true, I think, when it comes to having children: Once my daughter is an autonomous agent, she will be responsible for her emissions. But that doesn’t negate my responsibility

Hillary OK’d Banned Muslim Rape Suspect to Enter US   

 

A prominent Swiss Muslim  academic and grandson of the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood – now facing claims of rape by multiple female accusers – was banned in 2004 from entry into the U.S., but that order was lifted personally in 2010 by then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Tariq Ramadan, 55, currently a professor of contemporary Islamic studies at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom, has been accused by three women within the last month, who have come forward to describe past sexual assaults, reported PJ Media.

 

French writer Henda Ayari, 41, was the first to bring an accusation, saying she had been raped in 2012 at a Paris hotel and claiming that for Ramadan, “either you wear a veil or you get raped.”   “He choked me so hard that I thought I was going to die,” she told Le Parisien.

 

Another woman, unnamed, said Ramadan subjected her to a violent and terrifying sexual assault in 2009.

 

The third accuser, identified by Le Parisien as Yasmina, said Ramadan had sexually harassed her in 2014 and blackmailed her for sexual favors.

 

Accusations of molestation of four minor students during the 1980s and 90s in Geneva have also been made.

 

Ramadan denies the accusations and is allegedly suing all the women for libel.

 

The professor, who previously was banned from France and was accused in Spain of having links with an Algerian al-Qaida operative, has not been accused of assaults in the U.S.

 

Ramadan was permitted re-entry into the U.S. in 2010 under the Obama administration after being banned for six years by then Secretary of State Colin Powell.

 

As WND reported in 2005, Ramadan justified suicide bombings in an interview with an Italian magazine.   Asked if the killing of civilians was morally right, Ramadan replied: “In Palestine, Iraq, Chechnya, there is a situation of oppression, repression and dictatorship. It is legitimate for Muslims to resist fascism that kills the innocent.”

Ramadan also said car bombings against U.S. forces in Iraq was justified.

 

“Iraq was colonized by the Americans,” he said. “Resistance against the army is just.”    The U.S. Department of Homeland Security revoked his visa in July 2004 because of his financial support of an Islamic charity that funded terrorism, nine days before he was to take up a prestigious appointment as the Henry R. Luce Professor of Religion, Conflict and Peace-building at the University of Notre Dame.

But that all changed under President Obama.

 

In January 2010, Secretary of State Clinton signed the Exercise of Discretionary Authority under Section 212(d)(3)(B)(i) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, revoking the ban on Ramadan and allowing him to come to the U.S.

In the wake of the initial rape charge, Oxford University supported Ramadan in order to put a damper on “Islamophobia,” but as the number of accusers grew he was put on a leave of absence.

Perhaps Ramadan’s chief defender has been his brother Hani, who leads the Geneva mosque founded by their father.

 

Late last week he tweeted a sermon emphasizing that in Islam a man cannot be found guilty of rape unless there are “four witnesses who clearly saw what happened.”

I do not understand how living in a country with its democracy established over 200 years ago, and now, for the first time in history, suddenly we have one of our former presidents set up a group called "Organizing for Action" (OFA).

 

OFA is 30,000+ strong and working to disrupt everything that our current president’s administration is trying to do. This organization goes against our Democracy, and it is an operation that will destroy our way of governing. It goes against our Constitution, our laws, and the processes established over 200 years ago. If it is allowed to proceed then we will be living in chaos very much like third world countries are run. What good is it to have an established government if it is not going to be respected and allowed to follow our laws?

 

If you had an army some 30,000 strong and a court system stacked over the decades with judges who would allow you to break the laws, how much damage could you do to a country? We are about to find out in America!

 

Our ex-president said he was going to stay involved through community organizing and speak out on the issues and that appears to be one post-administration promise he intends to keep. He has moved many of his administration's top dogs over to Organizing for Action.

 

OFA is behind the strategic and tactical implementation of the resistance to the Trump Administration that we are seeing across America, and politically active courts are providing the leverage for this revolution.

 

OFA is dedicated to organizing communities for "progressive" change. Its issues are gun control, socialist healthcare, abortion, sexual equality, climate change, and of course, immigration reform. 

 

OFA members were propped up by the ex-president's message from the shadows: "Organizing is the building block of everything great we have accomplished Organizers around the country are fighting for change in their communities and OFA is one of the groups on the front lines. Commit to this work in 2017 and beyond."

 

OFA's website says it obtained its "digital" assets from the ex-president's re-election effort and that he inspired the movement. In short, it is the shadow government organization aimed at resisting and tearing down the Constitutional Republic we know as AMERICA.

 

Paul Sperry, writing for the New York Post, says, “The OFA will fight President Donald Trump at every turn of his presidency and the ex-president will command them from a bunker less than two miles from the White House."

 

Sperry writes that, “The ex-president is setting up a shadow government to sabotage the Trump administration through a network of non-profits led by OFA, which is growing its war chest (more than $40 million) and has some 250 offices nationwide. The OFA IRS filings, according to Sperry, indicate that the OFA has 32,525 (and growing) volunteers nationwide. The ex-president and his wife will oversee the operation from their home/ office in Washington DC.

 

Think about how this works.. For example: Trump issues an immigration executive order; the OFA signals for protests and statements from pro-immigrant groups; the ACLU lawyers file lawsuits in jurisdictions where activist judges obstruct the laws; volunteers are called to protest at airports and Congressional town hall meetings; the leftist media springs to action in support of these activities; the twitter sphere lights up with social media; and violence follows. All of this happens from the ex-president's signal that he is heartened by the protests...

 

If Barack Obama did not do enough to destroy this country in the 8 years he was in office, it appears his future plans are to destroy the foundation on which this country has operated on for the last 241 years.

 

If this does not scare you, then we are in worse trouble than you know.

 

So, do your part.. You have read it, so at least pass this on so others will know what we are up against. We are losing our country and we are so compliant. We are becoming a "PERFECT TARGET" for our enemy!
