Extraordinary coincidence of numbers and dates

DUBLIN, Ohio — A retired firefighter will be able to contribute to his daughter's wedding after a $160,000 Rolling Cash 5 lottery jackpot came his way through coincidental means.
An Ohio man stayed consistent and true to his lottery play for years, and now he has a $160,000 Rolling Cash 5 jackpot to show for it.
J.R. of Dublin has played the same lottery numbers for years, inspired by a concoction of important and special dates in his life. He purchased a ticket with his favorite combination at the Shell Station on West Bridge Street in Dublin.
His winning numbers weren't the only remarkable coincidence in the draw, though, because the date he won his prize on was also a lucky twist of its own.
The numbers to win him the $160,000 Rolling Cash 5 jackpot were 1, 2, 26, 30, and 31. He chose numbers 2 and 26 since his grandson was born in February, and both his dad and mother-in-law have birthdays on the 26th.
Not only that, but the draw date was Feb. 26 — further adding to the extraordinary occurrence.
"In life, sometimes you just don't know when good fortune will come your way," J.R. told the Ohio Lottery.
Fortune happened to arrive at the perfect time. His daughter is getting married, and now he'll be able to make her day extra special, the Lottery said in a press release.
After 26.75% state and federal taxes, J.R. took home $117,200. In addition to supporting his daughter on her milestone day, he plans on using the winnings to take a family trip and celebrate his upcoming 60th birthday. He also wants to embark on a trip with his wife to commemorate his retirement as a firefighter.
Rolling Cash 5 is a daily draw game in Ohio featuring a progressive jackpot that increases based on sales or a minimum of $10,000, whichever is greater. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 575,757.
The Rolling Cash 5 jackpot currently stands at $110,000 for the next drawing on Thursday, March 19. Rolling Cash 5 drawings take place every day at 7:05 pm EST.

Perhaps JR of Dublin will make his famous five alarm chili for his daughter's wedding ?
Id advise Jr of Dublin to stick with the chili and forego paying for the wedding banquet altogether .... I mean cmon folks all weddings are the same but bringing chili makes it one wedding to remember.
Keep the $$$$ for you and your wife ....... And if you question whether someone else might beat you to the punch and also bring chili you may want to haveanother famous recipe in hand just in case.
