Loyal player uses same numbers every single day, hits 20 winning tickets at once

By Kate Northrop

HAMPTON, Va. — A Virginia man plays Pick 4 every single day, and his big $100,000 payout finally arrived when he purchased 20 lottery tickets for one drawing.

One loyal lottery player won 20 times in a single Pick 4 drawing this month, netting him a $100,000 payday.

Prentice Douglas is consistent with his lottery lifestyle. Every day, he'll play the same numbers in the Virginia Lottery's Pick 4 draw game: 3-2-3-8.

In the March 7 day drawing, his habit was handsomely rewarded.

He stopped at 7-Eleven on Cunningham Drive in Hampton to buy his daily lottery tickets with his usual numbers.

When every single number came up in exact order, he won the game's $5,000 top prize, but he ended up walking away with much more than that. Having purchased 20 tickets, he won a grand total of $100,000 in just one drawing.

He visited the Lottery to claim his prize, remarking honestly to officials that he didn't have any plans for his winnings.

The odds of matching all four numbers in a Pick 4 drawing are 1 in 10,000. Players can view a complete list of odds and prize payouts for Pick 4 by visiting the Prizes and Odds page.

Pick 4 drawings take place twice a day, once at 1:59 p.m. Eastern Time and again at 11:00 pm Eastern Time. Players may choose their own four numbers or select the Quick Pick (Easy Pick) option to allow the computer to choose numbers for you.

All winning numbers, prizes, and odds are published on Lottery Post's Virginia Lottery Results page right after each drawing.

At $20 a day, even if it was just for ONE draw (mid or eve), that is a $7,300 a year expense... playing both for $20 is a whopping $14,600 a year... "habit" sounds about right...

There exists the possibility, that if this loyal player was doing this for a number of years, the prize (post tax) might just be enough to recoup the losses...

Glad they won, but hope they actually won!

The next drawing the result was 3728 it almost repeated.

I wonder was he playing 3283 a dollar straight both midday and evening because in Missouri playing 3283 a dollar combo will cost you $6...$12 if you play it for both midday and evening. Playing that 20 times in one day is $240. Either way congratulations to him.

Congrats to him!!

I wonder if he's hit it straight before?

"Having purchased 20 tickets,..............."

Now that's where I start questioning myself and all the people that keep telling us, "You only need one ticket"

I say "You don't need one ticket, how about we make it 20 tickets, huh!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Congratulations 🎉 on the win - better start thinking of what to do with the winnings 😉

I got my one PB ticket for tonight, feel like I should get 30 tickets maybe 🤣🤣🤣

Good luck to all 🤞

Buy 26 tix, each one with a different powerball number, 1 through 26. You know you will win at least $4, maybe more. Cost would be $52. With Powerplay cost is $78.

This is what I call "Solid Advice" 🤣

I will get 52 tickets, repeat each powerball number twice - see what happens.

Stay Tuned 😁
