Where are they putting the additional unexpected $2M in sales? They're putting it in the same places as every other $5 in sales. They skim half off the top and the rest goes into the prize pools. The ads are only for estimated jackpots, and higher sales increase it. is anyone going to bother with Mega Millions tonight? Even without PB being a bit more than 3 times as big MM is still well shy of my entry point, given the price and odds. The headline screams that he's missing the clue that even if PB sales were up (they're not) due to MM's price increase it's still probability that results in billion jackpots. The average PB jackpot should have a cash value of about $195 million
