Winner has a personal rule for playing certain lottery numbers
By Kate Northrop
A Maryland man stuck to a personal method of selecting lottery numbers for a Pick 5 drawing derived using license plates and won $100,000 in a single Pick 5 drawing.
One Maryland lottery player took inspiration from his environment and doubled down on his chosen Pick 5 numbers, earning himself $100,000 in the process.
Days before Christmas, the anonymous Prince George County resident said he kept seei

By Kate Northrop
After Lottery Post alerted the DC Lottery to a possible error that prevented tickets from winning in three of its local draw games for weeks, the DC Lottery has announced several different forms of compensation for players who may have been impacted by the computerized drawing glitch.
Last week, Lottery Post reached out to the DC Lottery after Lottery Post mem

EXCLUSIVE: Weeks-long computerized draw error prevented many DC Lottery tickets from winning a prize
According to JADELottery, the odds of the DC 5 drawing producing a singles combination without any repeat digits for 41 consecutive drawings is 1 in 242,413. It's not impossible, but improbable. By the time the game reaches its 50th consecutive drawing without a repeat digit, those odds become 1 in 3.685 million.
that math is not correct. the probability of singles occurring in any one pick 5 drawing is 0.3024. the probability of it happening n times in a row is 0.3024^n. that means the pro

EXCLUSIVE: Weeks-long computerized draw error prevented many DC Lottery tickets from winning a prize
An all-singles Pick 5 drawing has a huge player advantage. Why didn't you guys play it and say nothing and profit as long as possible? Let them figure it out when their cheaper RNG system actually costs them money instead of saving money.

I do the same thing. Except my state doesn't have a pick 5. I use certain words to play the numbers. If I see WIN, BET, or EAT on a plate, I'll extract the four numbers to play.

Powerball drawing produces huge number of big winners, including two who split the jackpot
Yes, because of the play slip angle that many do. I think I will go vertical on row 5 today some said. Others did row 3, 4 or 6. Some pick numbers that form a W on the slip. Some pick them that form an L on the slip. Some pick the lowest number and the highest number and fill in the rest with other favorite numbers. Some play 1,2,3,4,5. Actually thousands do that so don't do it.

Certain combinations had no chance of winning for three weeks
By Kate Northrop
Following independent observations by Lottery Post members of an unlikely statistical anomaly in Washington, D.C. draw outcomes, the DC Lottery identified a software problem that meant certain combinations had no shot at winning prizes in three games.
The DC Lottery has implemented a fix for a coding error that prevented some tickets from winning in three of its local draw games for three weeks.

Look at row 5 on the slip for a clue. Hundreds of people pick a row and do this or play another type of pattern on those slips. It is a fluke but it came in on row 5 this time. I guarantee you if row 6, 8, or 2 numbers matched there would have been multiple winners also.

Illinois Lottery shells out $7.1 million after players win big with 7-7-7-7
My first post ever. I mostly scratch and fantasy 5 but recently started playing pick 4. It seems like people who win with quads are playing them every single day. 1234 I imagine is played every day as well, box and straight. And I notice 20th century dates are played regularly too. Anything 19XX tends to have more winners. And I guess since America is turning 250, that 1776 is being played everyday. I don't have a real strategy yet. I've been doing QPs and whenever I see random four numbers duri
