I do the same thing. Except my state doesn't have a pick 5. I use certain words to play the numbers. If I see WIN, BET, or EAT on a plate, I'll extract the four numbers to play.

Yes, because of the play slip angle that many do. I think I will go vertical on row 5 today some said. Others did row 3, 4 or 6. Some pick numbers that form a W on the slip. Some pick them that form an L on the slip. Some pick the lowest number and the highest number and fill in the rest with other favorite numbers. Some play 1,2,3,4,5.
