Florida's Fantasy 5
I think you're correct and I too think it backfired on them big time. To me the obvious question becomes (provided they want to make as money off the game as they used to) So why not return to one evening draw per day???
These days, if there is one winner in each drawing on any given day, both jackpots total to approximately $155,000 to $160,000. Prior to adding the midday draw, the lone evening drawing produced a $200,000 jackpot. (If just one winner) That can only mean one thing, and that

I don't know if anyone has seen this or not but FWIW -
My FF5 tickets have the following printed on the bottom of them, Through March 31, 2026, Fantasy 5 will feature a minimum of $100,000 top prize on every draw!
So I took a look at the Top Prize Winners and Retailers Report. Since March 1st, there have been two Midday drawings (March 2nd and March 3rd) where the top prize was split between two winners, each receiving $50,000. There has been one Evening drawing (March 1st) where one wi

What's earnings value ? Never heard that term used when discussing or reading about the lottery.
Are you talking about earnings value from a players perspective or the lottery's perspective as it relates to running their business? Reduced jackpots are a direct result of reduced ticket sales. It's very hard for me to see how the Fla Lottery gets higher earnings value when they aren't selling as many FF5 tickets as they used to. G5

I'm sure they did it thinking it would increase sales but really it backfired. For some reason it split the players between midday and evening reducing that evening jackpot. I usually only play 2 sets (one set I've been playing for 20+ years) so I play both draws.
Good Luck, Chris

I buy rarely now because of rng. I just wonder if people are doing better or worse with it. And i wonder if there sales are up or down. I noticed they never post pick 4 wins anymore. On there website. Seems kinda weird to me. Once they switched I basically stopped buying. I was trying to figure out patterns when it first started to. I eventuality gave up. I don't trust it. But I will stop rambling on. Good luck! And have a great day!

With much respect and appreciation towards LP member 'TOKECAP' and his fabulous expertise with AI , here is why The Florida Lottery went to two FF5 drawings per day. You and I think that stinks but we're definitely not as smart as The Lottery. G5
A. You re correct: players lost value
From a player perspective:
Expected value went down
Jackpot growth was crippled
Pool fragmentation favors the house
Long-shot strategies became worse
That s why many experienced Fantasy 5 pl

Right... FF5 is the best bet among Fla online games. That's why I play it.
When the lottery added the midday drawing ticket sales immediately went way down. That can be attributed to just one thing - player reaction by voting with their dollars and walking away from the game. Added to that that, these days, people are feeling the effects of higher prices on many things (inflation) and probably have cut back on lottery spending as a result.
IMHO even if inflation is coming down, and pla

Here's a LOUSY FF5 stat for you -
Since one week ago today, June 30th, out of the 14 FF5 drawings that have been held since then, 11 of them have been ROLLDOWNS!
Of course players could say Well, it is a holiday time/week of the Summer and ticket sales have been slow , and I would agree that does have a lot to do with it, but it still sucks anyway.
Look, winning a FF5 jackpot would be great (especially if you are the sole winner) but it's not life changing. And lemme tell ya, chanc

I know I've posted the following info in this thread before, but for whatever it's worth I'll post it again.
Jackpot amounts are simply a function of how many lines on tickets are sold. The more lines sold, the higher the jackpot amount that could be won.
But sometimes there is no winner and a rolldown happens. That's because no one bought the five number combination (the line ) that had all five winning numbers on it. There are 376,992 possible combination of five number in a 5/36 matri

Last nights winning numbers ===== 5 6 23 31 32 Now there are 2 numbers yet to be drawn in July ===== 21 30
Well there's #5. Did you play it??? There aint anybody else here besides me so I dont know why I asked. Probably nobody who comes here played it, and besides that, there was not a jackpot winner anyway. There was another rolldown. That's the 12th rolldown of the 18 drawings held to date in July.
This forum is indicative of what's happened all across Floria with FF5. There were 60 FF
