Pick5 & PIck6 How to win it..(Theory)..
I thought about this idea a long time ago and i am posting it here so everyone could read it..Is a little bit different..For example, a wheel for pick5 would have the following ratios..2/3 (2even 3 odds), 3/2 (3even 2 odds), 1/4 (1 even 4 odds), 4/1 (4 even 1 odd), maybe it will have 5/0, 0/5 but they will not be common and we are not concern with those two..Same thing if you analyze what plays on a pick5 for an entire month you will notice that each one of those 4 common ratios (1/4, 4/

Raffle or Not?
As far as scalpers selling the tickest for more than $20 I think it's more than just the better odds. With almost anything you might want to sell there will be a few people that will pay more than the item is reasonably worth, a lot that will pay a reasonable price and some that won't buy at any price. By limiting sales to a smallish number a lot of people who want the tickets won't be able to get them. Many of those who miss out would probably be willing to pay a modest premium and afew are i

Weekly Raffle
For your consideration:
Every Sunday, have a ball drawn raffle. Only 50,000 tickets will be sold (from 49,999 to 0) and drawn by 5 side-by-side ball machines, the leftmost containing 0-4 and the others containing 0-9. The ticket cost is $5 each, and numbers are assigned consecutively.
The top prize is $100,000. There are 4 second prizes of $10,000, and 10 third prizes of $1,000. All prizes are paid lump-sum. The payout would be 60% ($150,000 per drawing), and would require 15 drawings to

Odds Don't Change When Jackpot Goes UP
BobP
I honestly am not the one yanking anyone's chain here.
From your example:
The enemy has 100,000 troops and you are alone scouting, if you attack the odds are 1in 100,000 or 1 versus 100,000.
Your buddy shows up, the odds are now 2vs100,000 or 1in 50,000 because each of your share to take on is half the 100,000.
You're telling us that if a game had 100,000 to 1 odds, when your buddy (the second dollar) showed up you would have double the coverage . Once again, nope

New Florida Lottery raffle will make 10 millionaires
Can't find a post. I should have copied it first as Todd suggests. Think it's my DSL connection. Happened when I got a PM and then poof!
Anyway, this is sort of what I said:
Does anyone know how many Fant 5 tickets are sold daily (or any pick-5 game) The reason I am asking is because the odds are 1:376,000 according to the FL web site. I know many people who have played that game for years and never won anything.
Okay, so now we have a raffle for more money that costs $20 times th

New Florida Lottery raffle will make 10 millionaires
Dear All:
The odds computation will come out sounding funky because the purchase price is 20 times the amount of a standard $1 play. But the odds of winning a million are the best I've ever seen - you just have to plunk down $20 to get them
This game strikes me as odd. In an instant ticket game you would never get away with a payout of 52%. I'm amazed they are trying this for an online game at such a low payout. The main reason is that with these big prizes you simply wouldn't ha

Powerball probability question
Here is the formula for finding your odds of having the first five numbers but not the powerball but not the winning powerball at the same time
(55!) ((55-5)!)
-------------------- 42 41
(5!))
This will give you odds of 1 in 3,563,608.83. There are 3,478,761 five number white ball combinations but the above formula takes into consideration the chance that you could actually get the powerball right. I don't believe you can play the game without pick

Personal Numbers
One doesn't look at the odds in any particular way. They are determined mathematically and not by having an opinion about them. The mathematics of the situation has been around for centuries and has not changed much. This is how the lottery is able to post odds on the play slips.
I have shown earlier in this thread that there is no tipping, but that the experimental outcome is well within what one might expect from the sample size. Sometimes the results are surprising, but non

Parimutuel betting (from the French language: pari mutuel, mutual betting) is a betting system in which all bets of a particular type are placed together in a pool; taxes and a house take are removed, and payoff odds are calculated by sharing the pool among all placed bets.
The parimutuel system is used in gambling on horse racing, greyhound racing, jai alai, an

Those 2 extra numbers ?
It's simple - don't play 50-51-52-53-54-55 in any games.
In the last 50 games, a number from the 50's has hit in 21 games, which means NO 50's have hit in 29 games. Play the odds.
In the last 50 games, 54 or 55 has hit 9 times. Which again means neither has hit in 41 games. Play the odds.
Moreover, in the last 15 games, a number from the 50's has hit 3, yes THREE times. Which means none has hit in 12 games. Odds......
Then again, of th
