New York man claims state's biggest Mega Millions prize at $476 million
Some people buy the multiplier option and buy five identical lines on their ticket. I do that.
The odds in PowerBall to win a second place prize of 2 million dollars by matching 5 numbers (if you bought the PowerPlay multiplier) are 11,688,053 to 1. But because I have 5 identical lines on my ticket I'd win 2 million per line , or a total of 10 million dollars.
To win 10 million bucks with 11 million to odds would make for a very nice payday. G5

Ohio: 4/1 - 4/30/2023
I just wanted to show you guys why I'm not playing. So below is the actual number obviously and above is the numbers for that number.... you can easily see the vtracs repeating ... and the odds say that it won't do that most of the time... so If I was playing midday after the last 2 midday draws were 445 and 345 , I'd bet the house with a very small chance of losing that vtrac 1 or 2 would hit today midday ....so the way i look at the numbers, 329 284 298 are all the same number and that's like

Joining a lottery club?
I would love to win only $2.4 million.
With odds of 1 in 25,000 of winning the jackpot, it is a great opportunity (assuming 10 people in the pool and each contributes $100).
There is no other game out there right now with a multi million dollar payout and odds of only 1 in 25,000.

California Scratch Offs
Hey Fun, yep I've been dabbling a bit in the $50 games here in FL, but the FL $50 Spectacular is essentially the same game odds and prize-wise as the 500X (though odds for $1m better).
It would be great if FL had the higher $ denomination game variety that CA has.
Hope you can post some big wins soon!!

Florida Lottery Fantasy Five going to twice a day--will you still play?
Maybe that explains the error I got today trying to buy advance play. No budget for twice daily on this. Justing618 makes a good point. Wasn't aware of the 1 in 100k odds for pick 5 payout. I suppose the odds translated to payout is similar to an unshared fantasy 5 win. 50k x 3.77 = 188.5k. Might give pick 5 a try.
P.S. I think I might be the oldest newest member lol. Got back into lotto recently after like 15 years.

Joining a lottery club?
I disagree. Everyone who buys a ticket wants to win. Some people spend hundreds of hours working out various strategies in the hope their odds of winning may improve. If they had any idea how much their odds improve buy joining a group, they would clearly join a group.
There are two kinds of lottery players.
1. Those that do not understand probabilities and therefore do not join a group.
2. Those that understand probabilities and join a group.

Massachusetts lottery and it's success
I've done the same thing with PB for the last couple of years. I buy five identical lines of 5 numbers and also buy the PowerPlay. Yeah, that's $15 for what amounts to one line (15 bucks a line. How crazy is that?)
The thing is this - Should I ever be so lucky to match all five numbers, then the pay out would be 10 million dollars. I've never matched 5, but I have matched three numbers a few times and won about a hundred bucks. It depends upon what the PowerPlay number is as to how much I wi

Florida Fantasy-5 Players
I keep posting about what happened in New York with Take5 like there is some kind of direct correlation between Take5 and FF5, but there really isnt one.
Take5 is a 5/39 game with 575,757 to 1 odds to win lousy jackpots. FF5 is a 5/36 game with great odds (376,992 to 1) to win a darn good jackpot. That tells me that players in Florida know a good thing when they see it. So maybe players in Florida will very loudly tell The Florida Lottery what they really think about the implementation of a

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Hey Skeptic, on the ILR the $1,671,894,600 is the prize payout total if all wins were claimed. I don't know of a way to determine ticket counts from the ILR, since if I did I could generate the odds table I posted on the 25th from the ILR, instead of when the Rule is filed right before each game is released. According to info in the Rule there's about 43.5M tickets, and 9.65M wins, which equates to the 1/4.5 odds for a win. Hope this helps!!
Also, I've not yet won anything more than the mone

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Hey Speeddmon, the $20 GR Limited certainly doesn't lack for winning ticket odds, it's just tough to score much over win back, esp anything over $100. That's how they were able to get so many $1M wins into the game.
I'll say it again, even adjusted for price point, the current $50 game (and even more so the new one coming out) odds for a $1M win beat any other FL scratch game.
whichever game you choose I hope you can score the massive $1M!
