Probability of Winning the Powerball Jackpot
no matter how many tickets your buy the odds do not change.
Its 1/292,201,338 for each set you buy.
Obviously the odds of the game are fixed, but if your first ticket doesn't match all of the numbers that's one possible combination that no longer matters. Your 2nd ticket then has a chance of matching the remaining 292,201,337 combinations. If it doesn't match all 6 then the 3rd ticket has a chance of matching the remaining 292,201,336 combinations, and so on. Buying n tickets for a singl

Asked ChatGPT How To Win the Lottery
I have explained several times why I do not agree with your statement. Do you want another explanation?
Also, I understand all the variables in determining odds. We simply do not agree on the formula used to determine odds.
And finally, voting on a post is not childish. It is a feature provided by Todd that I find very useful. I assume others also find it useful since it is used frequently.
What is childish is calling people names.

Asked ChatGPT How To Win the Lottery
So what we have here is a Internet Karen!
And this Karen doesn't want to discuss the reasoning behind, Joining a group and buying more tickets doesn't necessarily mean your chances are better or explain why they disagree. Karen is still debating odds while we're talking about chances.
Others have shown some of the many variables when determining odds and apparently this Karen can't or won't comprehend why there are many variables. Probably because the only thing they can bring to t

Asked ChatGPT How To Win the Lottery
He's just refusing to admit the odds of winning is 1 in 292,201,338. Doesn't matter how many tickets, doesn't matter the semantics, if you don't have a ticket with the combination drawn, you don't win.
We've explained it every humanly possible way so at this point, if he chooses to believe that reducing fractions changes the odds, its his choice.

Asked ChatGPT How To Win the Lottery
I can think of a couple of reason why buying more tickets or joining a group doesn't necessarily mean your chances are better . And you came up with the most obvious; buying tickets with the same numbers. The ChatGPT suggested buying more tickets can increase your chances but never used the term odds. Even the local croupier who said something like because only one combo can win the jackpot, buying more tickets decreasing the non winning combos by how many are bought , is still saying buying ext

Asked ChatGPT How To Win the Lottery
Yes, I understand. There is no such thing as a lock.
If I buy half the combinations, my odds of winning are still 1 in 292 million.
And if I buy every single combination, then my odds of winning are still 1 in 292 million.
Makes sense. There is no such thing as a lock.

Any Fantasy 5 from Georgia here?
GA Fantasy 5 Cash Match odds are posted here
https://www.galottery.com/en-us/games/draw-games/fantasy-five.html#tab-oddsAndPrizes
You have to click the tab that says Cash Match because the default display is the table of odds for the basic game. The Cash Match numbers and $ amounts are auto-generated randomly at the printer, so each time you play Cash Match it will be different.
Good luck to you bluefly and welcome to LP.

How can past draws help predict the lottery?
You were talking about math to chew on , I gave it to you. We're not talking about the moon, just the lottery.
The odds are what they are. It can still be won, but the odds are what they....are. Someone, somewhere will win eventually.
You won't even buy a ticket, so it definitely won't be you. LOL.

figuring out how many Scratchers there are in a given game?
Ok, I'm looking at the aforementioned Double Doubler ticket:
2 (top prizes to start) X 451650 (total odds for top prize) = 903,300 X .9657 (amount sold to date) = 872,317 then 903,300 - 872317 = 30,983
Soooo there are 30,983 tickets (for a $1.00 scratcher), still out there? Is that right? That seems extraordinarily high, is it possible they adjust the odds down on the website once one of the top prizes has been won?

Would You Have Won Back When With What You Know Today?
I almost won a 1 in 575,000 Jp, more then ten years ago but I didnt, cause I am retarded. ( 5 of 39 )
I know two people who did win a 1 in 575,000.
I unfortunatley had to move and only had a 5 of 43. The odds are almost double I think at 1 in 900,000
Odds Matter.
