Common sense to me would mean if you want to save money don't spend money on the lottery. Odds are the lottery is a losing proposition. Buying more tix is a double edged sword. Yes, buying more tix will increase your chances of winning, but will also increase your cost. Because of the odds of jackpot games, your chances of winning a jackpot are still very poor.

Welcome! I think many people use systems focusing on singles because it increases the odds of a hit. Any time you mix in repeat numbers, your odds of a hit get a little worse. On the other hand, some people like betting on repeat digits because of the increased payouts. So what you play is personal preference, but someone developing a general system is typically focused on increasing hit count.

A word about JPT's odds calculation... It's a bit confusing. Jackpot Triple Play has a 6/46 matrix. Normally that size of a matrix produces 9,366,820 to 1 odds. However, when you buy a one dollar ticket, you will get THREE lines with six numbers per line printed on the ticket. Divide 9,366,820 by three and you get 3,122,273. I don't know what's happening? Thanks Loon!! I just thought doubles were light and knew sum 9 no hit this month thanks to long odds. I playedd 711 cuz of Ms Andrew saying 17 should come. Again thanks to long odds I knew 00 no hit so far in January and tacked on 900. I won but the dream team is why I won.

There is a very good guide on a site called lotterycodex. You may want to look it up. It explains very clearly on probability vs odds etc. It is a long read, but worth it. Being a Canadian I am stuck playing the 6/49 . But I am able to play the Australia 6/45 which they recommended and believe to be the best in the world. The lowest combo you can play using Optimizer is 6/40. But I am unable to play them - New Zealand Lotto, Colorado's Lotto+ and Virginia's Bank a Million. The odds are sooo high in the 49 lotto Yes. That is where the big $ are. But Optimizer number reduction method increases the odds quite a bit. The max I ever won was 4 numbers (2 times!)
