Virginia woman wins $1 million playing the lottery for the "last time"
Do you know how many times I've sworn off for good this time! with regard to buying lottery tickets?? Me neither because it's more than I can count. Although I do have to say that she was very smart buying the ticket she bought. The odds of winning a top prize in the game are about 1 in 1.2 million. In Lottery-Land those are some pretty decent odds. G5

$750 MILLION: Second-largest Mega Millions jackpot in history to be drawn Friday
While some players choose the bigger jackpot , there are those of us that know that it's harder to hit MM than it is to hit PB. Odds for MM are 1 in 302,575,350, while odds for PB are 1 in 292,201,338.00. Either way, I wouldn't mind one or the other grand or second prize.

$750 MILLION: Second-largest Mega Millions jackpot in history to be drawn Friday
Incomprehensible Prediction -- After 34 no-winner draws, I predict that draw-35 will have TWENTY (20) winning tickets. Hey, why not? Odds may be against it, but then sometimes the odds can be defied! Thanx-A-Lot. Play Responsibly. Stay Safe and Well.

Help with Odds Math - Excel maybe?
Yeah that's what he means even though he doesn't understand it. I had a book with that exact same table and I also tried to fill in the gaps for the skipped values on the top row. Lost the paper where I worked them out. The drawback of this table is that it misses a subtlety about buying wheeled sets of numbers--it only gives you the odds of hitting *at least* one 3/6, 4/6, 5/6, but it doesn't give you the individual odds of hitting exactly one, exactly two, exactly three partial matches,

Predicting winning numbers? Fact or fiction?
and I see where you got a booster shot from ya cyber buddy vitamin B-216, implying that it's easier to do what I achieved... I wasn't implying anything, just stating mathematical facts. Please explain to me how, in your world, it's harder for you to hit a 3/6 win with odds at 1 in 50 vs Cmoore50 hitting a 3/5 win with odds at 1 in 103. Remember now, math doesn't lie, so help us understand your way of thinking here. As I see it, you just don't understand the math.

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Hey skeptic, that's pretty amazing!...hope you can score like that next time. So, right or wrong, in taking your question literally and knowing that sequential probability isn't my specialty, I believe it's simply odds of getting one multiplied by two. So, if a $500 win is 1/136 for one, then odds of getting a $500 for two in a row is 1/136 x 1/136, or about 1/18,500 Pretty amazing either way!!
