I've played the TPIR fairly regularly since it came out a couple years ago, not because it's a great game odds-wise - fairly brutal in my assessment, but more so because it's more fun to play than most and is only $5 so I usually get about 4 to 10 at a pop. Your luck doesn't look that bad. How many people win $1,000 on a $5 scratch off? It appears you do better with lower denomination ($1, $2, $5) scratchers. Play those more. If I recall correctly the odds against winning PB or MM were raised because the players wanted gigantic jackpots and what players want is dictated by ticket sales. Most states have a variety of games with better odds so PB and MM are not the only games in town. The clerk where I get gas said she had an extra MM ticket on Tuesday and asked if I wanted it and gave her two bucks. I think one of the best ideas I've ever seen was from BobP. I don't use it all the time, but it's simple, doesn't involve math gyrations, tracking, or any stuff like that. If you are picking numbers to play, simply leave out the numbers that were in the last draw. It's amazing how many combinations are left off the table. In Texas our Lotto game is a 6/54.
