Book "Beat The Odds In The Lottery"
This book talks about a method that counts the numbers played over the last so many rounds. Let's take a 5/39 lottery. So that would be 8 rounds of numbers (8x5=40 numbers). So after 7 rounds..which is 35 numbers drawn..Each number gets a 0,1,2 or 3...if a number hasn't hit in those 7 rounds..then it get s a zero obviously...so on and on so forth..You base your picks for the 8th round on the previous 7 rounds. Each drawing..you look at the previous 7 draws and assign each number accordingly. The

Possible Approach for winning Pick 6
Use a lottery odds calculator only instead of entering 6 or 7 as the draw size use 17 or whatever size wheel you are playing, to get the odds of winning numbers within the field. http://www.lotto-logix.com/wheeling_odds_calculator.html BobP

Would the prize structure for MM & PB be changed?
Putting aside the politics behind a 70% income tax rate on income in excess of $10M, would it make sense to even play the PB or MM given the astronomical odds against winning and your jackpot take home being drastically reduced because a 70% tax rate? You can always play your state lottery which is usually cheaper and has better odds at a less impressive top prize. Alternatively, would the annuity option become more favorable or should PB and MM be changed to offer greater lower tier prizes l

Anyone play California Daily Derby?
What's with the payout structure on this game? Trifecta and wrong race time has odds of 1 in 1,321 and pays out around $500 on average. Exacta and correct race time has odds of 1 in 146,667 and only pays out about $80 on average. I'm not alone in finding this $2 game unappealing, it consistently has the lowest sales of any other CA game. I think it would be better if they scrapped the race time component and just had prize levels corresponding to standard track bets: superfecta, trifecta, ex

Chicago man wins $20M prize on first lottery scratch-off
No running or walking. The game launched September 4, 2012 and that was the last grand prize. I'm going to miss the game, had a nice overall odds of 1 in 2.71. That was even better then most 30$ tickets. The current best overall odds ticket is a 30$, 1 in 2.65, ticket released almost 5 years ago. 1 top prize of 10 Million$ left. They don't make them like they used to.

Identical winning numbers crop up in hundreds of U.S. lotteries. Are the drawings really random?
just like casinos and online gambling the lotteries are built for us to lose yet as much as we know this is the case we go back and play against the odds over and over again for that hope of the big win (which happens every now and then) so we come back for more ... as long as there are people willing to bet there will be games to play no matter what ! even though we know the odds are stacked against us its an addiction, and we come back over and over and over again ... at the same time its p

WHO is going to show you how to win w/ positive R.O.I. Long term
No one can overcome the odds. The people who win are just lucky. It doesn't matter which numbers you pick. Any one of the 80 ping pong balls in the hopper can be drawn with exactly the same chance of being drawn. The Baccarrat and Roulette past result displays are there to fool people into playing, thinking that they will have an edge if they play based on past results. The fact is that IT DOESN'T MATTER! I do play progressive keno when the jackpot gets high enough, but that's pretty rare.

Fun question for the math guys, yes its a beauty??
He said it has about a 35 percent chance of winning when those six numbers are played in 74 lottery's in one day. These are about the same odds of a single dozen winning in roulette, or two to one odds but at five nickels we would only double our money. 137 173 317 371 713 731 Stuart
