i'm agreeing. sad but, true. they can allow much more to win over 100 million easy,and still have much left over to get their share back ala taxes et.al.., my dad think it is still rigged though. Nice surprise when you at first think it's $4.00 and then you double check the matching numbers.. yep.. $400. Odds of hitting $400 on this game are higher than the odds of hitting $1000 on it. Dangit! Had a $100 on this a couple weeks ago. Finally got to see the 20x symbol. Also of note, one of the 2 remaining $5 WoF grand prizes was claimed recently (forgot where).

I play everything... from the time I was 18... I do not play in my home state that much because of computer drawings... The odds are insane, but that is with anything lottery related. it is honestly better to go to a casino. Not as much money can be won and it is a 2.5 hour drive for me to the nearest casino... but the odds are better. At least you are polite in your post. Thank you.

At the time I wrote the post above, I didn't really think too much about what it means in terms of prize money. After all is said and done, it doesn't mean much. The best it could do for a player is win them $5,000, but to win 5G's you'd have to buy the doubler, and match four out of five, plus have The Cashball. Agreed. Godawful odds. But I've been waiting on them to rework themselves into becoming Powerball 2.0 It's a lazy way of dealing with the problem. And when the problem inevitably repeats itself, they'll once again raise the price, worsen the odds, and hope we won't notice if they make the starting pot and rollovers larger. But considering the JP only rolled by $25 million on a quarter billion dollar prize, seems they just don't get it.

My Mega Millions and Powerball consolidation idea
As many of you know, Mega Millions is undergoing major changes starting on October 28. Since both games will be very similar once the Mega Millions game changes, I came up with an idea for one game, instead of two separate games. I would call this new game Mega Powerball. Drawings are held three times a week, Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday. One would select five numbers from 1-70, and one number from 1-26.
