$508 MILLION: Mega jackpot to spark ticket-buying frenzy
Would you get excited if you could win $7 million if the odds for that particular game were 72 trillion to one? $7 million is nice but it's chump change when you consider the odds (258 million to 1). Heck if the Michigan game got up to $7 million faster and more often that would be exciting!

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Well that's not good news if it turns out to actually be the case. I was looking forward to the good odds... Info page on $20 Monopoly still has the same odds though and hasn't appeared to have changed: http://www.flalottery.com/scratch-offsGameDetails?gameNumber=1313

Why are American lotteries rigged?
I don't think the SuperEna odds are that horrible, I think it's 1:622 000 000 (http://www.sisal.it/superenalotto/quanto-si-vince) Still not great odds, but not as abysmal as 1:56B Sweden having joined Eurojackpot was news to me, completely slipped past me. BTW which butler service do you use? thelotter?

These are the $20 Monopoly odds. I actually approve. First time in a long time. (And yeah, like th ghost said, the $5 ticket odds aren't good compared to other games. I'll play this one at $20.) Why are American lotteries rigged?
There's a good point that was mentioned earlier... With the odds being what they are, there's no need in rigging the lotto... I totally agree with that. It's so easy to get discouraged each time none of my numbers hit... But then when I remind myself of the amount of possible combinations and then the odds... There's really not much else I can say other than I'm guilty of getting my hopes set a little high here and there. I do do feel the same as others here... For some reason I feel co

Ok, this is getting
While everyone is bemoaning the big jackpot, (which is the reason people play), the smaller jackpots that folks also want is right there. Getting the first 5 numbers pays a million dollars without the multipliers, and most draws there are 1, 2, or more that win that. Changing the matrix to make it easier to win the jackpot would kill the games. PB and MM aren't for everyone. But they are for the people that want and like big jackpots. For those that don't, there the state lottos, pick 5 games

Your point of view... Fate or stacking your chances?
Personally, I almost always buy just one line. I'm sometimes tempted to buy 5 or 10 lines, especially after a bad day at work. But, I remind myself that if I do that, I'm buying those tix out of frustration. I've been running a small pool at work for over 6 years. Each draw I buy at least 8 lines for MM, or 4 lines for PB (there are 8 of us right now). We rarely win anything, though the previous 2 draws we did win $5. The most money we won was $100, twice on PB, and that was 4 or 5 years ago

How much is "life changing"?
And that's one of the reasons I will not play the Powerball and the Mega Millions... yet. $100,000 is good enough a life changer for me right now. For that reason I prefer to play a pick 5 game like Florida Fantasy 5, the odds of winning it is about 376,922, which means it is much easier to win. The odd of winning the powerball jackpot is 292 million, good luck with that, when I have won the fantasy 5 I will move on to the powerball. Even with Mega Millions, the odds of winning it is a stagge

Georgia Lottery Scratch Offs
The new tickets coming out next week seem pretty lame outside of the $5 ticket. I'll have to see the prize structure on it, but its called Super Tripler Win. Its just a match and win with a few symbols, but theres a triple bonus box. I'd guess theres some weird prizes on that ticket like a $300 winner or something. They are also re-releases the Win $50 or $100 ticket. If I play its one time, but I'll make sure the odds aren't worse than the old one first because I have a feeling they'll m

Mega Millions ponderously reaches $280 million
A thirteen million dollar rollover on a $280M annuity jackpot. Paula Otto says they're satisfied. Well, I know why I don't play MM very often. They nearly doubled the odds against winning the jackpot while announcing that they were improving the odds, doublespeak, in typical lottery fashion. If you reduce the value of a product, you should not expect sales to go up, but they did, and they're satisfied. Wow.
