$20 California ticket
I see both the free ticket and $20 win as the same, although the odds are slightly different. Ultimately, you're looking at the total return on the game over time, not individual lower tier prizes while hoping to hit the top prize. The free ticket and $20 prizes make up 7,840,000 prizes or 67% of the available winning tickets. If they didn't have those two prizes in the prize pool and started the prize at say, $30 at higher odds, the interval between winners will likely be much longer for most p

How can I win a decent prize on PB or MM or State Game if I never get more than 1 or 2 numbers?
Hi sully16, Good point you make. The reason I play PB, MM is the fact that 2nd place has a great prize. I know the odds on coming in 2nd are still horrible but I'm just hoping that one day before I die will hit something decent., lol. I've played scratch tickets also (always check what large prizes are left and odds of winning on my states website). The problem with scratch tickets when you have the top prize of 1 million dollars on a 5 dollar scratch ticket and only 6 top prizes and they pri

How can I win a decent prize on PB or MM or State Game if I never get more than 1 or 2 numbers?
Shyguitar, it took me 17 years of playing the lottery to realize that the deck is stacked against me when playing the lottery. They say that the odds are ???????????????????????? this many when in reality the odds are twice or more when you add in the ton of duplicate ticket that are sold. I waited until 9:00pm yesterday to buy 2 powerball tickets, 1 regular powerball ticket and the other a powerplay ticket. Got to the car and noticed that the powerball number was 33 on both tickets. So, I went

James, that's good. Keep it up. My goal is to stop. Trying to convince myself this is it, play these new ones for a couple days, etc... Remember the original Lucky for Life--or Set for Life-- game? This was like 2004 or 2005, odds were 1: 171 to hit $500. They were the same as the original Gold Rush. Lottery revenues keep going up and up and up, but the odds get worse and worse and worse. They know we're hooked!

Billionaires Made in Powerball & MegaMillions
Let's BOYCOTT MM and PB. I quit buying from now on. Thye're ugly tickets anyway, without any collector value (no topicals). I am still buying state instant scratch-off tickets sometimes, especially if I spot an attractive design, which lately are very very hard to find.... but I suspect those are rigged as well. I did win $50 once on a $10 ticket, but the odds seems whacked as I bought 11 x $5 tickets at different times and locations and none of them win, oh yes, I got $5 back on one of them. Th

CA Lottery - California Love - CA Lottery Scratchers
I will probably buy some non-winning tickets from eBay too, to a point where I have 100 entries for each $10/$20 or maybe $5 scratcher game. It is great that you found that winning Poker ticket through your trash digging efforts. I was not planning on playing much CA Black from the start since I know the odds on the replay will probably be ridiculous with 24 top prize structure let alone that Lady Luck challenge, but Diamond Millionaire (same odds structure) has became less available in favor

How Much Money Do You Spend Playing the Lottery in a Week?
If the chances of winning the jackpot are so slim, why play when the jackpot is so small? Your chances never change, but the payoff does. Your signature above. The problem with that logic is that the payoff is TOTALLY dependant on the odds. And when the odds are beyond rediculous, practically untouchable, the prospect of a real payoff is almost non-existent.

I found 1 $100 GRT over the weekend. Unforunately that was the only win I found and it only got me back to break even for the day. And unfortunately, I kept playing. Specifically, I was looking for brand new rolls starting with #000 for any of the $20-$25 games. What I've learned is that if #000 is a loser and has code NEW , the roll should be avoid like the plague for at least 9-10 tickets. Otherwise, if it's a loser with another code, play the odds as a winner should be near. Back in Dec

You Will Never Win A Lottery Jackpot In Your Lifetime.
How will you increase your odds in winning? You cannot change the odds in winning, it is a mathamatical formula which is set in stone for any given game as long as the Matrix doesn't change. By Butch2030
