How To Predict Future Lottery Results
The luck factor was matching all three of his numbers, but by playing them with all the other numbers, his odds of winning the jackpot were reduced to one in 33. The bet cost $17 and not a wager everybody would make, but matching two numbers showed a profit and possible by just matching one number. but I was lucky to even get the five numbers in the same line since I only played ten lines and the possible combinations fitting the parameters were upward of a thousand. The odds of matching

Lottery New Years Resolutions
Not sure how to 'slow down' I have only one set of numbers that I have played since the first draw. I have played easy picks depending on the Jackpot and my own 'easy picks'. If you have played the Michigan Fantasy Five since the first draw then odds are that you should have hit for $100 by the end of this year because there have been that many draws vs the odds. Changing my numbers won't do any good because all that would do is cause the RNGs to avoid a different set of number

Mega Millions or Powerball?
Which game are you hoping will make you a match 5 millionaire? PB for me too. If you're looking for the best odds of winning $1M then PB is the game for you. Some states have the Lotto 6/49 games and I think those are the best odds for winning $1M. Our local 6/49 games jp starts at $500,000 so I usually wait until it hits the $1.6M to play because that is when the annuity has a cash lumpsum of $1M. Good luck players. Smash those jackpots!

Everyone should buy only one ticket for any game
Thoughts do not effect reality; actions change reality. Doubting or believing in numbers will not change which numbers are drawn. Buying multiple tickets gives you an almost non existent improvement in your odds of winning. That's mainly because the odds are stacked so highly against you. You are arriving at the right conclusion, but you are getting there the wrong way.

$586 MILLION: Mega Millions jackpot climbs toward a new record
Don't forget that people can play the same numbers on the different tickets, so the chance of winning still somewhere between 50-80%. But this also means that there is a chance for multiple winners and a shared Jackpot. I don't even try to guess the amount of the Jackpot for Friday - in case there will be no winner this Tuesday. And I think we will start seeing Jackpots like this, since MM just introduced the new system last October changing the odds from 1:150million to 1:260million and t

$550 MILLION: Mega Millions holiday bonanza!
Calculate odds of matching 5 of 5 AND not matching the 1 of 15 Megaball. (17,259,390 1) (15 14) = 18,492,204 (lottonumbers dot net has great explanation) It can be confusing but just remember you calculate odds for that prize only and not any other prize.

Just bought MM quickpick, not knowing odds got even more absurd
haymaker, The Dec 12 Detroit News on the internet says Lower odds lead to bigger jackpot. I think it's a typo as the LA Times says longer odds.

I have the best chance of winning the Mega
Logistically, you CANNOT buy 2.5 million tickets. So you better do it with a pool of 13 numbers and one BONKO number. You would have BETTER odds to do 600 tickets this draw, and P.I.A. the SAME 600 lines the next draw. That would IMPROVE YOUR ODDS.

Question about Mega Millions 5 + 0 odds
One of the things I learned here at LP was the formula for figuring lottery odds. For example, in a 5/39 game, it's 39 X 38 X 37 X 36 X 36 ______________________ 1 X 2 X 3 X 4 X 5 or 69090840 ______________________ 120 = 575, 757. ______________________ Since MM now has a 75 number top matrix, this would be 75 X 74 X 73 X 72 X 71 _____________________ 1 X 2 X 3 X 4 X 5 (You're shootiing for five numbers if you're going for 5 + 0) This comes out to 172593
