Right, your group of 41 contained all 5 winning numbers. This gives you BETTER ODDS than choosing from a group of 56 numbers. Following this line of thinking, a group of 28 numbers that contain all 5 winning numbers will be even BETTER ODDS than a group of 41, I may not have all the winners in my group as often but when I do the likelihood of getting a group of 12 with all the winners will be greater. For now a group of 12 is the only way I can see playing live.

Your logic is well thought out LL, and there are plenty of people who would gladly spend a million if 5+1 could be hit in 10 draws. But it is very unlikely to happen in that way. I hit 5+1 in 18 draws only because my TIMING was very good, not only with the 5+0 aspect but also with the bonus aspect. The bonus is a separate part of the game. The 5+0 part is a 1 in 3.8 million game NOT a 1 in 175 million. Combining the odds on the two parts makes it confusing and mentally impossible. I made the

Not sure about other states, but here in NY the next thing after PowerBall and MM, is Lotto, which is 8 Millions, where the odds are not so much better. While here in PB the second prize is at more favorable odds, then any decent local lottery. This switch for 2 dollars a play, I'm thinking, very soon will make jackpots like this a usual thing. Unless Mega Millions will change to 2 dollars some time soon, once their sales will not be as high as in PB to even it out. After all, P

$20 Kings of Cash(013) I got 5 matches for a whopping $5 a piece. Guess it is a net profit, but PA going this route on their tickets really ticks me off. Give me a single $25 match 100 times out of 100 vs 5 matches @$5. PA people. A friends kid ht $100 on $2 Cash Frenzy. I looked at the website and the odds of $100 is 1 in 150. I'll bet some of the same ideas for multi-state lottery games being discussed here were discussed at MUSL meetings. MUSL currently has six multi-state games including MM and PB. Hot Lotto is played in 14 states and in D.C., Wild Card 2 is played in four less populated states, 2by2 is played in three states, and MegaHits is a slot machine type game played in casinos in three states. I try not to overthink too much x1kosmic, Odds favor any 5 random numbers NOT being a factor in the upcoming draw. I just have skills in duplicating those odds 3 times over. Next step will be 4 times over eliminating 20. (That's right, Im talkin skills here) If I can reach a goal of eliminating 23 it would leave 33 numbers in play............ A 33 number wheel uses 237,336 combinations and a $250k win would cover the cost of playing until a JP can be hit.

I have hit 5 of 6 three or four times over the years. It doesn't happen on a regular basics. The 2nd chart is just to show that 5 of 6 does hit twice on a regular basics. 40 times out of the last 1,896 drawings thru 07/16/12 in the IL Lotto. What are the odds of hitting 5 of 6?
