Florida Lottery's repeat winners don't always come out ahead
'Toss, I remember you mentioning in the past that you worked at a casino(s) before. Talk to me a little bit about the odds of Pick 3 vs. Roulette...and any trends you've seen in your experiences while at the casino. The reason I ask is because, while I'm pretty strong with Pick 3, I prefer Roulette due to seemingly better odds...and I can generate more money faster and more consistently.
In the end it's all numbers, but I saw where the table game produced much better results for the money I w

Question about Lump Sum or Annuity
There is truly a $625k prize on a $10 game but I dont even consider it a game as the odds are 12 million to 1 for each dollar spent as apposed to 4.8 million to 1 for each dollar spent on the $500k prize in the $20. game.
Its almost like they are probing the public to find the height of their stupidity.
Even the $1 million Raffle is only a 6 million to $1 long shot which is 1/2 the odds of getting the $625k.

Why can't I ever get a good win on scratch tickets?
If you play $3000 in scratchers, you most likely will win back roughly $1500, unless you hit a ticket that has a major prize. Don't know about your state, but in Texas, thay list how many prizes there are in a scratch game. Usually there might be 6 top prizes out of 6 million printed tickets. Odds of 1 in a million. Overall odds anywhere from 1 in 2.5 to 1 in 5.
Scratchers sell better than the online games because people like instant gratification. I always liked the anticipation of a lottery

Arkansas scratch offs??
Hi Everyone,
I'm a new poster, but I've been lurking off and on for while. I was wondering if anyone out there had any luck with Arkansas scratch off tickets? I've been playing at least once a week since the lottery was introduced here, but my biggest win has been $15. That happened once. I've won $10 a few times. All other wins have been breakeven prizes. I usually play the $3 cards. The odds are about the same as the more expensive tickets. Sometimes the odds are better. I've had my be

Do most people who win the lottery jackpots buy just one Ticket or multiple tickets?
Hi L.L.
Thanks for your response. I agree about the staying in your budget that's why I tend to buy just one ticket for MM or PB due to that reason though I usually pay the extra dollar for the multiplier. Last night I splurged for PB and bought 3 tickets without multiplier. I guess my thoughts about buying one line has been that it just takes one line to win (though having that one line puts you in the 1 to 175 million odds of actually being able to win) wish are pretty impossible odds, lol)

Why Play Pwerball or Mega-Millions ?? Play you're States games !!
The back of my MM card says it pays $250,000. for 5+0. I have been looking at the $20 scratcher card in AZ that pays $500,000. on odds of 1 in 240,000. Not sure about my math but it sounds like a better pay-out for the odds, plus tons of smaller prizes cut the expense by quite a bit.
Im the guy who wants to spend $500. at a whack, so this game might be for me. Any suggestions?
I bought $200. worth the other day as a teaser and got back $115. It took me 3 years of buying MM and PB to hit $

Which odds are better?
The object is to match winning lines as closely as possible. If 70% of winning lines can be categorized by parameters, the question on everyone's mind should be how many lines are in that pool compared to the whole universe of that game. As I said earlier, if the pool is 70% of the total in order to win 70% of the time it is obviously meaningless. But if the pool is as low as 30% of the total it would be a valuable tool.
In other words, even though you give up winning 30% of the time, you wou

Buying 1 Lottery Ticket Gives You A 50/50 Chance Of Winning A Lottery Jackpot.
no i dont really have any feeling at all except that i disagree with the analysis of the shotgun method...
if you play 10 tickets of quick picks my opinion is that you will do worse than if you play a 3 power number wheel...
he may have won...but that type of luck has odds tougher than the actual odds of winning the mega million jackpot...

6 tickets from LA win $1 million megamillions 4/10
Hmmm, after doing some calculations, I've determined that, in terms of MEGAPLIER sales, the anticipated prize fund is 48.392% of sales, and 19.2076 cents of each $1 wagered on the Megaplier goes to pay the $1,000,000 prize winners ($750,000 actually, because the original $250,000 is covered by the first regular $1; also for the other prizes, you have to individually calculate the odds of winning $40,000, $30,000, $20,000, or an extra $30,000, $20,000, or $10,000, and so forth down to the extra $
