How do they decide what a games odds should be?
I found this on the web the other day, but I don't remember exactly where. I will provide the link if I find it. Go ahead and read it and see what you think. I know that all numbers do have an equal chance of being drawn, but they do sometimes follow short term trends. I never did believe that quick-picks were designed with the players best intentions in mind. I wonder if they set the machines to put out QP combinations at different times, that are more or less likely to win, in order to achieve

Now That the Excitement of Mega Million is Over
I don't get why people go crazy over a $300 million jackpot. To me, be it $3 million, $30 million, or $300 million, I would be just as happy with any of those and am willing gamble the same amount of money regardless of the size of the jackpot. The odds of winning such JP's are so outrageous, that to me, buying more tickets really doesn't make it less outrageous. All I want is my foot in the door with a couple of chances on each one.
I tend to spend more on the smaller JP's where the odds are

The Jackpot has Landed
out of millions of tickets purchased, and millions of combinations covered, and only 2 winners, all that previous talk about increasing your odds thru the purchase of more than one ticket was obviously like i said it was.....
.....a waste of money (at least from an increasing one's odds perspective).
from the $50 million mark on, i was only out $1 QP a draw.
tonight, i don't suffer from buyers remorse ......lol

Instant Scratch off lottery how does odds of winning work?
As you know instant scratch off lottery such as win a million or loteria which claims to pay 50K per year for 20 yrs on $5 play are pre-prented and sent to various retailers. Does that mean that if there is no jackpot winner so far , your chances of winning jackpot are significantly better? (assuming lottery prints fixed number of tickets and a jackpot ticket is part of that lot)There is no place where you can see previous winner info for instant scratch offs.
If anyone knows I would lik

Ohio Classic Lotto jackpot looking good again
I can't figure out why I always do better with PB. At the last minute I decided to put $10 on both PB and OCL which I also posted on the prediction board. For OCL I matched 1 four times for nothing and for PB I matched 2+1 for $7. Seems like half the time I play PB in spite of the higher odds I win something and most of the time I play OCL, I win nothing. It's as if the odds don't mean anything when it comes to winning the lower prizes in these games.
PB was won and will reset to $20M this Sa

Jingle Jumbo Bucks - Winners
If you have played Jingle Jumbo Bucks, how many tickets did you purchase to win? How many total tickets have you purchased, and how many have been winners? This poll is different. Instead of trying to figure out how much folks have won at Jingle Jumbo Bucks, I am trying to figure out what the real odds are. Feel free to include anything you like. If you have seen my other poll about Jingle Jumbo Bucks, it explains why I am collecting this information. I am getting back $3.40 for every $10 I spen

$750,000 Winner - Jingle Jumbo Bucks - 2010
Guess what I just found myself, a real gem. No not a winning ticket, but the next best thing. I have found a website that lists ALL of the odds for a game her in GA. I don't know where he got it, but I have been looking for it forever. Up until now, I only knew about top prizes. I am so excited. It is interesting to know that you have better odds of winning $100 than you do of winning $40 or $50 in this game. I may just have to start a new thread. For example here is Jingle Jumbo Bucks:
$10 t
