The Sport of Kings
Hey tiggs95, et al- Thanks for your feedback. As a follow up on the the powerful hedging tool, Dutching is to intended to mitigate the risk factor in speculation; so now for the rest of the story: Every hedge has a cost, so before you decide to use hedging, you must ask yourself if the benefits received from it justify the expense. Remember, the goal of hedging isn't to make money but to protect from losses. The cost of the hedge - whether it is the cost of an option or lost profits fro

Is buying 2 scratchers in a row better?
Hi, One thing that can be helpfull when buying scratch-offs is go to your states lottery website and look under games. go to where the tickets are located click on the tickets that you like to play or look at the list if you click, on each ind one it should tell you the odds. for example 1:4:3 so really what that means is 1 in ea 4 tickets is a winner, might not be the big one could just be another ticket. the lower the odds the better. Something to think about.

Pb & MM in same state...what will happen?
Right now if both games were available at the same terminals it would be a hard decision whether to chase one or both. MegaMillions $40M jackpot $25M cash with odds of 1:175,711,536 PowerBall $53M jackpot $27.7M cash with odds of 1:195,249,054

Is buying 2 scratchers in a row better?
What do you guys think... Do you think buying 2 scratch offs in a row is better than just buying 1? My first reaction to this strategy was that it does seem to give better odds. However, I have graduated to buying $20 scratchers so to me, risking $40 is a little much. I have won on these high priced scratchers (nothing major just $100) but I am just thinking on some strategies (if there are any) that might increase my odds of winning.

Pb & MM in same state...what will happen?
Whether the odds are astronomical or super-astronomical most people who play will probably still put a buck in both games I would guess. Somebody is still going to beat the odds either way. I think that super ultra long shot chance is worth a buck anyway.

Powerball coming to Maryland, Massachusetts
Quick question, would this mean that powerball would lower the odds of winning the powerball? I remember when FL and couple other states joined powerball, they made the odds worse to 1:195,000,000. would they do they same, when Maryland and MA joins the powerball around January of next year?

Why do the folks in the East always seem to win??
if I understand correctly, that since I live in a state that had lownumbers of tickets sold compared to the higher population centers ofthe East, that my chances of winning a JP are basicly slim to none. Maybe the answers could have been more clear, but you didn't understand them correctly. Your chances of winning anything of consequence are slim to none, but it's because the odds are against you (and everyone else), regardless of where you buy tickets. Your chances are a function of the od

What Is Your Real Profession??
Good, let's start here. First of all, I'm not trying to convince you or anyone else and neither has anyone here or anywhere else been conned. I deal with people that fully understand the ODDS involved in this game and how to reverse them while making a SMALL CONSISTENT PROFIT. You cannot go back anywhere and see where I posted that this was a get rich quick deal, a 100% all win no loss deal, a mega profit deal, or anything of the sort. Since my original post of Pick 3/4 Business Partner, I have

Need some advice
You may be good at math, but you don't seem to be as good at reasoning. the cost of the ticket has no direct bearing whatsoever on the odds. If another developer was charging $10 per ticket for 1 in 100,000 odds to win an identical house would you buy chances for the one with 1 in 15,000 oddds or 1 in 100,000 odd? Why?
