I need someone to calculate the odds of this happening
Todd,
I've seen the odds of winning a lottery twice in a row and that is always the odds of winning it once squared (1:1000 x 1:1000 or 1:1000000). Why wouldn't it be same for a random number generated twice in a row?

2 Questions: Is important to me..Pick6 Monopoly...
you could also do for instace, if you went after $5 million pick6 jackpots and accumulated them, then 12 months x $5 million = 60 in 1 year x 10 years = $600 million which divided by 2,000 members it will be 1 in 3 odds of getting 1 million dollars...
but if you take the $60 million x 15 years = 900 million which divided by 2,000 it will almost equal if you divided it in $1 million dollars each member it will be: almost 1 in 2 odds of getting 1 million dollars....
and if you like after the

Switch to Quick Pick
We all play with limited budget each month (I guess),
When I play the lotteries, I usually buy 5-20 lines but I don't consider myself on a limited budget but playing a practical amount of lines considering the odds of winning. When I've read about past lottery winners I haven't noticed lottery pools buying a lot more tickets than individual players winning more jackpots. Even here at LP when checking top predictors I haven't noticed premium members who can post 50 lines per game having an adv

Help me
You go to the store, buy the slips, fill them out and pay for them. Winning...well it's basically the luck of the draw. That's the hard part.
What game(s) are you looking to play? Pick 3, Pick 4, Pick 5, Pick 6, etc? It not a matter of just wanting to win. The odds of winning a jackpot game like Powerball or Mega Millions are huge. Even Pick 5 games have huge odds. If you want a better chance of winning smaller prizes, you should play Pick 3 or Pick 4. Your best bet, would be to search around

If You Don't Believe You Can Win Why Bother?
I think persons who take *Risk* against the odds are indeed better for it. For without risk there can be no real conclusion. Mostly I conclude after each play that I have lost, yet there will come a time where I will have concluded I won and won BIG! Til then , Risk and take the odds .
I really dont BELIEVE I WILL WIN. I simply beleive that at some point Lady Luck will want to grace my ticket and when that time comes, I want to know I played! SO I bother not because I think every play is a wi

What Would You Change About Your State Lottery?
This is a very good topic LOTTOMIKE.
In Tx I'm pretty happy with what we have. They show the pre test results, even though I don't really care one way or the other about the pre tests. The web site is very good, tons of info. I really like the Texas 2 Step game.
The only thing I can think of is I don't like the Cash 5 game. The odds are 435,897 to 1 to win about 25K, sometimes even less and it's pari mutuel. I would replace it with a Quinto game like PA has. Better payoff with better odds.

Ohio Classic Lotto STILL going up!
That's very true RJ. I know a lot of people played for tonights drawing since it increased by $400 thousand, which is the maximum it can increase. According to the website, the cash option value is $14,250,000 (before taxes), after taxes are taken into consideration then the actual net value is $9,832,500. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 13,983,816. I think I could handle the net value!
I was just thrilled to win $70! The odds of that are 1 in 1,032. Also, the actual jackpot amount

A different kind of wheel for p-5 and p-6 games
Thank you BOB. You just saved me 37 bucks.
You definitely know your stuff !
BTW, would you know off hand what the odds are in a 36 game with having to only pick 3 numbers correct? Since I'd cover any two numbers for 72 bucks, what would the new odds be?
Thank you.

Pick 3/4 Business Partner
Well, I'll have to pass on that as good as it sounds. See, I know better now. You need not spend over about $10 and probably less to get the win. I don't care about any odds because they mean nothing to me!! The less money you spend the better your odds and the more money you save in the end because after all my losses, that one hit will recover my tied up funds...forget the profit!!!
However, I'd like to see you post your hits and don't post over about ten numbers!!! Be sure to check on Virg

what pays on little lotto
is there a preference game to play with the best chances of a win?
The best odds would be pick 3 and the odds go up by game type.
Whatever you are best at figuring out winners on.
