Powerball and Mega million system
I assumed that there would be no 30's this last night drawing based on the many 30's in the last several drawings. I assumed 20's would be present due to lack of them in the last few drawings. Looking back in the histories of past drawings going way back alot of times those absent #'s do hold out 2 or 3 drawings before they eventually come back. I be wanting to play my numbers in different sets where I could of holdout with the 20's and not holdout with the 20's covering my tracks but financiall

Little Experiment for my next vacation
If I were to do this experiment, I'd probably do something similar, like buy 5 of the ticket at one store, 5 at another, or maybe even all at the same time at the same store. If the odds are say 1:4, in theory at least 1 ticket out of the next 4 you buy should win something, in theory of course. Another thing that might help improve the odds, if this option is available, is to check how many winners in each game are still out there. The Louisiana Lottery website has a whole page devoted to

Idahos New Pick 5 Game: Double Play Daily
I'm definitely going to play, need to start a spreadsheet and start tracking results. Its definitely in between WildCard 2 (5/31) and Hot Lotto(5/39). Even Hot Lotto only pays out $10,000 for match 5. I don't like the bonus ball games because that is where the house odds really out favor the player. I only play powerball because the 5 match is $200,000 and when I really feel lucky I play the PowerPlay option hoping for the million. I feel I can come up with a working system for 5 white balls to

N.C. lottery store owners, employees winning big and often
I think Trulyblessed is on to the main technique that these winning stores use. They watch the sale of tickets on the particular games that have the big jackpots and buy tickets after they see customers not win for several tickets. I have also observed this myself in a Maryland store. The state lotteries usually send a lot of big winning instant tickets to the stores that are producing the most profit for the state to keep the customers coming, so the owners know that their odds are better than

New report criticizes Iowa Lottery security
The only problem that I ever had with the Iowa Lottery was with one of their retailers.I bought a $3 scratch off ticket from one of those machines and the machine took my money.Nobody at the retailer had the key to the machine so they couldn't open it up and retrieve my ticket for me and they refused to refund my money. When I got home I sent an email to the Iowa Lottery and complained about the retailers attitude. The Iowa Lottery sent me $3 worth of Lotto Bucks that could be redeemed at any Iowa

Predicting number patterns?
time*treat, I understand what odds are and why they would be placed into calculations. What I don't comprehend is why they are needed to anticipate the possible next draw after analizing past draws. Wouldn't it simply be analize and anticipate ? Why would you also need to calculate the odds ? Thanks for asking...

Lets drop the odds on Cash 5
After a bit of backtesting I have noticed many draws here in VA Cash 5 do not contain numbers which were drawn in the previous drawing. Therefore, if we take the 5/34 game and don't play the five numbers drawn previously then we will now be playing only a 5/29 game!! Thats 278,256/1 brought down to 118,755/1!! That is over 2 times easier! Any thoughts?

Powerball and Mega Millions in every state
First, 280M players? I'm fairly certain it's not even close to that even if you combine the total sales of both games unless it's a monster jackpot and even then that's sales, not people playing. This could IMO be the final nail in the coffin of many state lottery games that are already struggling, then there's the huge raise in the odds that would take place which I think would then turn off some and actually, perhaps drive people back to the smaller, single state lotteries, but I doubt it.

How much do the odds increase by buying more tickets?
Each ticket increases your odds of winning, but by less than the amount of each previous ticket did. 2 tickets doubles your chances vs. 1 ticket, but 3 tickets only gives you a 50% boost over 2 tickets. 4 tickets raise your odds by 33% vs. 3 tickets. Diminishing returns, all the way up.
