Neb. lottery numbers drawn twice in row
interesting on one hand I see that ANY 2 draws have 1,000,000 possible 2-sets because it's 1,000x1,000 However, asking for odds of ANY TWIN of previous draw does seem that you would divide 1,000,000 by 1,000 possible sets of twins ...and it equlas 1:1,000. (So do the odds of having a SPECIFIC TWIN equal 1:1,000 because of having 1,000 possible twins, but it must be a day of twins first) . I am still somewhat confused A lot has to do with precisely the way the question is aske

New 20 dollar ticket in GA... Awesome!!
wow, you're right, I just saw a picture of it on their website and you're right, they don't seem to give out much info. about it. If they normally pay out about 50%, then yes, about 61% would qualify the game as the highest in history (Ga. history). Because their overall odds are real low (1:3.1 or something), it seems that way too many very small prizes got put into it. People really do need to know how many tickets were printed, or what the initial odds chart looks like.

Lottery Pool/Club
Yes, I also constantly try to set the record straight. There is a big difference between mathematical odds of winning and the realistic chances of winning. Both 1 in 100,000,000 and 1 in 10,000,000 are extremely difficult/rare to win, with little difference as far as your realistic chances of winning. At the same time, it drives me nuts when people say buying 10 tickets does not lower your odds from 1 in 100,000,000 to 1 in 10,000,000, as if I'd suddenly said that it was pretty easy to wi

New Jersey P6
edge- U know exactly what Im talking about. And yes, you spotted my error; i.e. the 13-17 range you posted was correct. I get the over unders for each position by calculating the mean of the last 5 drawings. Somethimes this results in a number with a decimal- lets say 11.2. In this case the under is 11 and the over is 12. When I set my odds for this drawing, my ranges were perfect- meaning that every number that came out in tonight's drawing were within my ranges. This is just something

Just say No to Tennessee?
Also, if you use that no-no filter, you may not want that many numbers on that list in Virginia, our cash5 game is 1 of 34, and that is already smaller than alot of other states' pick5, the odds of 5 in 34 are 1:278,000 But it is true that the more no-nos the list has, the better the odds of winning (if and only if the no-no list does not fail). We just need the yes and the no list to both win. Good work, you DO have a good idea x1

$1.00 PA Barn Ticket 100 dollar winner
Despite the fact that $1 are indeed the worst odds in winning, my single biggest winner to date has been on a $1 tic. I hit $5000 (top prize)on a Fast 50 in the Massachusetts Lottery. Odds were 136,000 to 1. In fact they only print 150 top prizes out of the more than 50 million tickets printed. Talk about a needle in a haystack. Despite that win, I usually stay away from the $1 tix. I should also mention that that particular winner was a ticket I got for free as part of a now defunct recycle pr

Michigan 3 & 4 digit dailys ARE manipulated...Is your state cheating
it did say broadcast times may vary, it seems awful the pick 5 game in TN is also twice as hard as VA, with just 5 more balls(ours is 34 ball), TN pick 5 of 39 has odds of about one in over a half a million ! I thought it was already awful here in Virginia, with 5 out 34 our odds are 1 in 278,000 (and we can play for 50cents or a quarter, if you don't want the whole 100 grand.)

Stop staying, 'Lower the odds'. It's the JACKPOT that matters!
It's not about what matters to me. Powerball themselves have said that ticket sales explode once the jackpot gets way up high. So it obviously matters to most people. If it didn't, games with much better odds but much lower jackpots (like only a million or so) would be nationally famous, and not the 2 juggernauts that we have today with ridiculous odds and massive jackpots.

New Jersey C5: 12/27 thru 12/31
12/1-12/27 there were 12 days with 0 5/5 wins, so this just about to breaks even (however there was a consecutive 7 5/5 wins between 12/12 and 12/18) by no means this game payout is extravagant :) but odds are fairly decent, had some luck with in the past with a 3/3. still waiting for New York Take-5 to post results (the 39 number pool gives even better odds) Good Luck and Happy Holidays Jonnie!
