Better odds??
As everyone already wrote, the odds stay the same. Usually there is only one winner in a jackpot game with odds over 1 in 100 million.
When the jackpot is only 20 million there's absolutely no chance ofwinning 30 milion.
I do agree with KY Floyd on this, although I can actually feel his sarcasm.

Which gives me a better chance of winning a lottery?
Well, apparently to people here, if you buy 100 tickets for a lottery that has the odds of say 200,000,000 to one, by some magical wand, the odds are dramatically decreased by 199,000,000
According to them, it's a big difference, when actuality you've only eliminated 100 possiblities, and the remaining 199,999,900 remaining possiblities magically get reduced down to about 2 million.hmmm...maybe if I buy a thousand tickets, the remaining possibilities would magically go down to a hundred.

Which gives me a better chance of winning a lottery?
the odds discussed here are probability odds, or mathematically speaking..
mathematically speaking this $100 gives a probaiblity of 1:1,757,115
in practice i would call it covering all bases ($100 covers 100 bases and leaves the other 175,711,436 uncovered)...

Florida...open for Singles numbers
I'm sorry ......but I think the fla game is fixed.
Now....to have several doubles in a row is rare in P3 .......but not as rare in P4 because almost half the numbers in P4 are doubles. P3 is only 27% doubles ....
That has nothing to do with the first 3 positions of the Pick 4 game. Nothing at all.
We are just looking at the first3 positions in the Fla P4 game ....... and just counting those positions only..........we just got out 6th double in a row. In using just the first 3

Which gives me a better chance of winning a lottery?
I am content with 7 million or 220 million.
I'll be content with a sale at the supermarket.
Not to be redundant, I agree with just about all the posts. Luck plays a key role in winning a game with such astronomical odds as MM. There are approx 302M people in the US (give or take 12-20 million illegals) So 175,711,536 (odds of winning) = more than 1/2 of every man, woman child from age 1 to 99 including people in comas. So even though 100 tickets gives you 50 more chances for an

Look at this and calculate the Odds...
I don't play pick3 games but if I could calculate the odds that 5 numbers would not appear in a particular position for a period of time I would be playing because if I was right only half the time I could make money.
Pick3 is the combined random outcomes of 3 events that have 10 possible outcomes which equal 1000 possible out comes together. Eliminating 5 of those outcomes for each event would reduce the total possible outcomes to 125 instead of 1000 and covering those 125 outcomes would pay

Florida Lottery GONE A BIT TOO FAR
STATE LOTTERIES are not For the people .
(PRIVATE) Poker tournaments and Football Pools offer much better odds than the lottery when comparing to pick 3 , pick 4 and scratch games.
Yet, Government puts it's BIG FOOT down and heavily restricts the PEOPLE from having such better opportunities. And then turns around and expects some average Joe to plop down $30 on some high odds lottery scratch ticket.
It's all HYPOCRISY!

Im looking for a winning system
That's not quite true, the syndicate that bought all the possible combinations in the Virgina lottery a few years back proved they had a winning system if the jackpot was big enough. The problem is most jackpots never get large enough to use it and the average player couldn't afford it.
Most states now have rules such that a syndicate with unlimited funds would have a hard time trying to buy all the possible combinations.
There must be others like myself who think a good strategy will imp

Dear Governor Rendell
The odds for jackpot of the PA Cash 5 game will go from 575,757 to 962,598 or a 1.67 increase.
The starting jackpot for the New Cash 5 will change from $100,000 to $125,000 or a 1.25 increase.
My feeling is...if the decided to absolutely make a change to the game do it with 42 balls (3 extra balls) the odds would have been 850,668 a 1.47 increase...4 extra balls indicates that they don't care because they know they will have their way... people will still play this game

Quick Picks with Your Own Numbers
Players who pick some or all of their numbers are never satisfied with QPs because they have an idea of what a QPs should look like and they're hardly ever right. Chances are if you buy all QPs, there would be some duplicates too.
In most games your odds of have two numbers of any other combination is 1:10 or better so you're are likely to have duplicates unless you choose all your own numbers to avoid that happening.
