FBI following leads in lottery scam
As long as people don't think this type of scam will continue. If you want to win the Canadian lottery (like 6/49 or Super 7) then go to Canada and get tickets. Odds are the winner will be from Ontario or Quebec and not you but that's life. If you didn't get tickets you can't win. Even if you get tickets you can't win. Ok, you might win $3 or so if your lucky. The other big red flag is the $400,000 prize for second place. Unless you play the extra (depends on the province) you can't win th

Large Jackpot in 2008 PB and/or MM
The cash prize comes from sales like all games. Currently considering the low post cash value most jackpot games offer compared to the odds it's better to spend your gambling dollars in Vegas or at a reservation considering the money spend, the potential post tax prize and the odds. This ratio gets worse when taxes are rased for public health care. The amount gained from taxing Jackpots is low since the total amount given out in Jackpots is low compared to total sales. The money spent on jac

Pennsylvania Lottery Millionaire Raffle results
I like the one in nj, you can win $500. When they say it gives out more prize money than before that is because they sold more tickets than before with the same return ratio. Having a number toward the end of the series does *not* decrease your odds. The $1M winner could be in the first few or the last few, the odds being the same (long shot) as anywhere else in the series. It would be the same as thinking that on the PA midday which is computerized, that 0 or 9 rarely or never come out. I

Would you Think...?
That's pretty grim. But yet another reason that I seldom buy a scratcher, and then only as a lark for a buck. Even the overall odds of winning a prize (as listed on the back of the tickets) are horrible for the amount you can get. And that doesn't consider the crap shoot of how many winning tickets may be in a roll of tickets. Other than taking a shot at it once in awhile, scratchers are a lousy way to go. If I'm going to give away my money, I'd rather do it with better odds, or at le

PA Millionaire Raffle
15 numbers off from the 100. I am glad I only bought one ticket. If I were to buy multiple tickets, I would definitely spread them out due to past results. Of course then I would probably lose by just one number then, which would have won if I bought all the tickets together. $20 seems great for such odds at a million dollars, but to me this game just feels like a rip off. Especially since it is not $1,000,000 after taxes, and it is stupid to have the same amount of prizes and odds for $100,0

POLL: Breaking the code
One example of Digital Footprints is: if the number 28 plays on draw number 10th what are the odds it will play on draw 20th; in draw number 10th again if you take the difference...Or if the number 28 plays on draw number 27th what are the odds it will play on draw number 54th: in draw number 28th again if you take the difference between draw number 27th and draw number 54th...Taking advantage accumulative of this subtle patterns is that Digital Footprints or Random Walk is all about...And it wi

$3 million Florida Lottery ticket expires Monday
The odds that so many people won a jackpot and died before they could claim is too high to go with that theory. It would be like, someone won, and died within a few days of winning, and nobody thought about checking the ticket.. multiply by several times. Or they waited 5 months and they were going to claim just before the deadline but then they died? Most winners claim within a week so the odds someone dying in that short a time frame is very rare. What happens is people play piles of ticket

N.D. Lottery wrestles with credit card buying options
Also, buying a 52 week subscription for Powerball does not allow for changes to the Powerball Matrix I have a question. Why would anyone in his/her right mind want the matrix to increase? There are around 10 winners a year. There are approx 302M people in the United States. In 20 years (not counting large pools) based on today's odds there will be about 200 or 250 more winners. That's the size of a wedding and some seminars I've attended. So when people say they want higher odds
