Whose head will explode if the next 5 MM draws are won?
The way I see it, the odds are about 1 in 233,000 that the next 5 MM lotteries will be won without ever rolling over. This is, of course, much higher than the odds of actually winning the MM with one ticket. If this happens, whose head will explode?

RnG: Does it or Does it not...
jarasan wrote: it is almost as if the game knows what picks I have. it does and you should have known that the keno game is a take in pay out percentage game. Plain and simply the keno program can detect all the bets for any given game. it calculates all the bets and pays out a persentage of the take for every game. Veags keno games have better odds so i'm told. Also when you get a doubler or they are running a promotion on keno the odds are better. reason being they are trying to generate

Second $1M lottery win for deli worker defies all odds
After taxes, winning 2 million total is less than a typical Pick-6 payout but still nice anyway. I have one big problem with the story though. The odds as stated are based on one particular person buying only one ticket, winning $1 million, and then waiting a while and buying another only one ticket and winning $1 million again. What they're saying is that they only bought those 2 tickets their entire life and both won? Is it POSSIBLE that after winning the first Million they bought quite a few

4/5 match ticket..What would you do..
If you look at the chart that jarasan posted notice that the odds for a 4/5 match with bonus ball is: 115,151.....and it only pays 500? How stingy can you be...Can you at least raise it to 1,700 (after taxes and not before)... notice that a 4/5 with No bonus ball pays $400 and the odds are: 3,489...So why can the 4/5 with the bonus ball pay more than 500... ..Great, you won the lottery, but is only you..

Fixed Lotteries
Lottomike, were the indiana lottery numbers being rigged? I guess it's possible and probably wouldn't be that difficult..even using balls. Wasn't there also a lottery director in some state who killed himself in the last year? (can't remember which state). I'd like to think though there is some chance of winning (maybe I'm a sucker). I think it's just incredibly difficult. I've been playing the P3 game for the last 6 months or so and it's not that easy to get a straight...and that's 1000 to

your favorite lottery game (poll)
From my earlier post: Simply by playing the last winning combination, a player could have matched 3 or better 13.4% of the time during the last 1000 drawings which is 0.9% better than the random overall odds of 12.5% of picking a winning ticket. In the above scenario, a player could have played Cash25 for 5 years, spent $1000, matched three 121 times for $121 and matched four 13 times for $130 for a total return of $251. Has anyone been working on a formula for picking one line to play

Math and Lotteries
Seems like math has few applications for lotteries other than figuring odds or the number of possible combinations. I keep coming back and hoping to read some posts about how math might help one discover such things as the most economical pool size for a lottery depending on its odds, calculations for finding the most repeatable patterns in past drawings and etc. Instead I find only a few thread are still active due to a lack of interest. I've got a feeling in a couple of more months there ma

Ohio Rolling Cash5 is on a roll again
It's hard to believe but for the first time in a long time a game has a jackpot that will pay out more dollars than it has possible combinations. The odds of winning RC5 are 1:575,757 and the jackpot is $619,000.00 The only other time I've ever heard of that happening was in the Virgina Lottery in the late 80's or early 90's. It had a jackpot worth ~$15M cash and the odds of winning it were ~1:10M An investment group tried to buy all the possible combinations by take over terminals at se

$200 Million Jackpots
Powerball already reached 200 million this year and might again on this run. California won't and neither will any other single state. Euromillions has it's odds too low considering the number of players and will stay below 200 for the rest of the year. I gave up on Mega. More like a Megajoke now. Bad odds + low prizes.

IL little lotto over 1 million dollars 8-10-06
No winner, now it's $1,115,000 for 8-11. I'll give it a a shot but the winner will probably be bought at a White Hen Pantry in Cook County or the now - infamous on the board Chicago Cab Company or General Cab Company, whatever it is. Let's see, odds against Illinois Lotto, prize right now is $3.75 million, are 20 million to one, odds against Little Lotto, prize is $1,115,000 are 575, 757 to one....which one is a better bet.
