Joke- What's the difference between
Lol what is your state? I could never watch a drawing and match all 5 numbers for the powerball, because if I did not then match the powerball I would probably flip. As usually I would probably miss the powerball by one also, just to add some salt to the wound. Imagine beating them first five balls odds, then you got 1 more out of 42 to go. (odds 1 in 68.96) That could be a dream come true, or a nightmare. But if you Faith entirely, there should be no worries. Nonetheless I prefer to see the

GA 300 MM dollar Gold Rush: rip off ?
CO No offense but you can sum all of your posts up on you Signature spot rather than repost the same comment over and over again. As for the GA ticket. I've played and I'm not happy! Odds are too high for this player. I'll stick to my Jumbo Jumbo Bucks. Only $500,000 BUT odds are 1:2.5 where gold rush and the others are 1:3.3 or so. Some $5 tickets are almost 1:4. (Not this lottery player! I'll play in TN)

Powerball to roll 2 faster !
And what is your point? That Powerball and Mega Millions has poor odds? That's hardly news. If you don't like high odd games then don't play them. The pick 3 forum is always there for you. I don't play the Powerball unless it hits the cap which is currently 390 million. Someone has to buy tickets before that or it never gets there. People buying $5 or so isn't exactly a waste since it does get hit under the cap all the time. Look at Mega Millions. Odds of it even getting to 300 million are ne

Explaination of Pick 5 needed
Lottaloot, The MI 5/39 game sounds like it's set up exacly like IL Little Lotto with regard to payouts and rollovers. A fun game with "reasonable" odds of hitting the jackpot and usually there is only one winner. It is very popular in IL. The final jackpot is always higher than the estimated jackpot which indicates people are playing it. The 3 of 5 and 4 of 5 payouts are much lower than the odds, but the inclusion of a $1 payout for matching 2 of 5 and the rollovers make up for it. Hav

Strategies, sustems, techniques, or luck?
One might say that Luck is the foundation upon which Strategies, Systems, and Techniques are built. While we can certainly reduce the odds for a given game by studying it and applying well thought out strategies, systems, and techniques, some measure of luck will always be needed. Eliminating the odds completely is unlikely. Certainly there are many winners who use QP's; what we need to know is the actual number of QP's that were sold for a given drawing that was won with a QP. I'v

odds are reduced
>What are the odds of the odds actually being correct? About the Beatles? Or about Elvis? Elvis has a slight edge...he was reported alive at various times and places!

If you are going to buy 46+ tickets.....
I have not been on here in a while. Your math is incorrect. MM and PB are not independent games. You are being clever by half and underestimate the intelligence of the lottery commisions and the millions of smart Americans who play these gaames in 32 or 12 states. If you could reduce the odds down to 1 to 4 million (odds less than the average 6/49 state game) by buying 42 or 46 tickets with different power or mega balls, I guarantee you MM and PB will not experience one roll!! That woul

If you are going to buy 46+ tickets.....
Playing all the bonus balls guarantees at LEAST a $2 or $3 win.. but if you only care about the JACKPOT then 46 tickets have the same odds for that and the same odds for match-5. If you want to go after the match-5 level also then don't play the same 5 numbers each line. Also known as the Archie Herring or Seattle system. $42 per drawing is kind of high considering these roll-over more often than not. I've played less tickets with a strong bonus ball algorithm and have gotten multipl

If you are going to buy 46+ tickets.....
Buying all of the Megaballs or Powerballs will obviously win you $2 or $3 dollars, respectively, but how does this improve your odds of winning the jackpot (if that is, indeed, what you're saying)? If you get 46 autopicks for MegaMillions, your chances of winning, unless I'm mistaken, are 1 in 3,819,816 (175,711,536 divided by 46). Can you provide a mathematical calculation that shows how your method improves the odds of winning a jackpot? Thanks in advance.

Do You Think You'll Win The Lottery?
Quote: Originally posted by Coin Toss on February 12, 2006 We all want to think we might win or we wouldn't play. There is indeed a luck factor involved. But I think to buy a ticket and say you know you're going to win implies being oblivious about the odds against that happening. I am well aware of the so called 'odds' of winning, but even they are only questionable theories. However actually believing that you will win cannot hurt any, and can only help when it comes to the unive
