Probability of a Rollover in Powerball.
The powerball has rolled over and the new estimated cash jackpot is $32M The previous annuity jackpot is $67M. The jackpot reached $28.9M, annuity or 1.3 M more than advertised, meaning they predicted $4.2M less sales than they actually received on the previous drawing. For some reason Powerball seems to be underestimating their prospective sales recently. For the last 3 drawings, sales have been almost constant, within a few tens of thousands of dollars of $14.3M. It seems reasonable to us

2 of 3 (8 Magic # system) - Sad Reality
I still have to stand by my calculated odds, though it does SEEM like the odds should be 1 in 8 they simply cannot be. You get the same situation when looking at doubles and triples. Every time you see a double digit pair in a pick 3 drawing you might think that the last non-repeating digit has (or had) a 10% chance of creating a triple (55X 5X5 X55) but there s no way, not with 270 doubles and only 10 triples in the game. In 10,000 games you will see about 100 triples and 2700 doubles. If

Lot O' Better
I was thinking up a better version of Lot O' Play. I kind of had Texas in mind for this for some reason, so I call it Texas Square Dance. See if you like it.6 numbers are drawn out of 60 balls, numbered 00-59.For $1, a player gets a 6x6 grid like the one below. 07 03 21 39 49 11 59 44 53 12 45 09 52 33 43 54 23 17 31 00 29 58 19 28 15 41 56 18 48 42 10 46 16 55 08 04 Each row, column, and diagonal counts as a single play. You essentially get 14 plays for $1. You can also win multiple times.Three

Hoosier Lootery
If you all recall, I stated a couple of weeks ago that the hoosier lootery would once again peak out at the 28 million dollar level. The odds of that happening are 1 in 1.3 billion. I believe that has happened 1 or 2 other times. Watch and see it happen again. Also, it seems that the hoser lottery always pays 0 straight or 0 straight combos winners on the night of the hoosier lottery 6/48 game. Go check those whopping payouts out. Gee, are you ppl at the lootery ever gonna loosen up and let some

The most important question on LP
Rick and Sirbrad-Both techniques that you employ are interesting and worthy of experimentation. Thanks for sharing them with us.I choose my own numbers for many different reasons. One can eliminate their odds exponentially when using a filtering and selection method that has shown results over a period of time. The duration of your method must be consistent, minimal in error, and must show a significant difference statistically in winning percentage when compared to other over-the-counter lotto

A Tip 4 Trips
I used to think, heck if I played triples in the maxed out states, I would be in the win.......but lately, things have gone strange.....New York has been maxed out midday and the trip comes in evening.......there is a very strange something going on out there.....maxed out states aren't getting the trips and some states are getting 2 trips a week or two.......I have never seen so many doubles as I have seen. Same thing with the quads.......believe it or not, there have been alot of quads hittin

"Taping" in advance & Conspiracy Theories
I shouldn't post before having my morning caffeine... did I say Powerball had on average 500,000 players? That's closer to the number of average prize winners... I emailed MUSL to ask for average sales. They said it varies from drawing to drawing anywhere from 12 million to 200 million tickets, and around 2 billion a year. Going back to a birthdayish problem scenario and trying to see when given 'n' random picks (including the pick the machine makes), what are the odds of there being a match to

Tonight's record $40 million jackpot (US$34 million) for Canada's national Lotto 6/49 game has people lining up at ticket vendors across the country.Noemi Nepomuceno, who was out buying tickets in Toronto on Tuesday, says she knows exactly what she'll do with the jackpot. Oh boy, I tell you, first to pay off the debts, pay off the mortgage, and then that's it, Nepomuceno said. Enjoy it, give it to charities, then enjoy my life. I've been waiting for a long time. Elizabeth Wilson won $7.4 milli
