OH Lot O' Play a failure?
I played Lot 'O Play on the second drawing and won $6 ($2 on 3 tickets). I like it - it's fun and unique. But, I would love to see a joint MI-OH game...I thought about this: Introducing: Lotto Doubler! Main Jackpot is a 6/49 game. Double Jackpot is a 7/49 game. Pick 6 of 49 numbers, or use a quick pick. Each Ticket costs $1. For an extra $1, you can pick a 7th number from the remaining field of 43, or have the computer do it for you! For regular players, match all 6 numbers drawn and win th

LottoSync needs cloning + development.
True, universal laws have to follow predetermined scripts. But if God , or whoever one takes as creator , is a lord of order, that remains to be seen ...Even if random is as ordered as anything can be, or is not ordered, there is no way one can ever notice the order (if there) of randomness. We all talk about patterns, you can read the word pattern all over this forum. Even i have used it many times.Somehow, i can't see any posts where one talks about patterns also explains into detail what e

Powerball lottery states report brisk sales for huge jackpot
Hopeful lottery players are plunking down their money for Powerball lottery tickets at an astounding pace, in advance of tonight's estimated $300 million jackpot drawing.USA Mega will display the drawing results minutes after the drawing, which occurs at 11:00 PM Eastern Time (8:00 PM Pacific Time). Also on www.usamega.com, players will be able to see the Power Play number drawn, and within an hour or two the website will announce whether or not there was a jackpot winner. At that time, the Wedn

Lottery Promotions
I'm not convinced gas prices are hurting that bad. Most people buy locally, and gas has only been an issue for a short period. I'm inclined to believe that it is based on the amount of money available. Every one I know is worried about their future income at work. The numbers are being pushed that the economy is back, but the hiring is not. Layoffs are still happening in the thousands. Corporations are not upgrading equipment or software. Outsourcing is becoming more of an option. Fewer people w

Lucky For Life
I emailed PA state lottery asking them if they will ever raise the jackpot prize value, or make any other changes with the game. Personally I like the game, and I like only 38 balls. I have macthed 4 of 6 about 4 times or so, and the pay out was indeed pathetic, ($40) but at least got some of my money back, and more money to give them right back in following weeks. But I think that the cost of inflation would present a lot of problems with only $2250 a month in the future. Probably even less tha

Probability of a MegaMillions rollover.
I am calculating powerball rollover probabilities. There is another thread in this forum in which I discuss powerball.https://www.lotterypost.com/threads119427p3.htmI recently discussed several models for a Jack Whitaker beating jackpot and I think the last one is probably a better one than the first, which noted linearity up to the present. If powerball rolls over again tonight, which is a better than even shot, it will be interesting to see if the rate of increase breaks from linearity. If so

question for players with GH wheels?
The F9 wheel information you're looking at is meaningless without the odds of occurrence. Every wheel has a guarantee, some more then one, then there is what's possible from the likely to the most wild outcome that could come down the pike. Now with 66 tickets played compared to 6 in your second wheel, there is a lot that could happen depending on how things fall, but you can't count on it.This is why a wheel tester like CoverMaster is good to have and to learn. You can load this wheel with i

Probability of a Rollover in Powerball.
It has been difficult to estimate the overall probability of a record breaking jackpot because the changed game does seem to have effected sales figures considerably. The assumptions in my last post on this subject have probably not been validated by events. In order to meet or exceed Whitaker's jackpot, powerball would need to sell about $280M worth of tickets more than have already been sold. The last three drawings of a jackpot advertised as being greater than $150 million (annuity), which en

Is PB inferior to MM?
Thank you for your interest in my interest, some LP members! The major thrust for me to happen to calculate PB MM's expected values was just my curiosity, which all of a sudden occurred in my mind while reading the LP posts talking about the lower cash value ratio of PB in compared to that of MM, and some seemingly conflicting opinions on the attractiveness of cash and annuity.First of all, income tax was the most tricky factor in calculating the corresponding expected values, largely because

A More Mega
Now, it's just been revamped with the addition of CA. But when the moratorium on new states is lifted, it might have to change again for potential MM members NC, FL (though for FL I reccommend Powerball), and who knows who else. Well, this would be my plan if I was in charge. Just a bit more put towards smaller prizes, but 28.37% of sales will still be found in the jackpot. And 1:12.748 overall odds and a CA-style mini-jackpot will get sales going all through the jackpot cycle.Pick 5 white ball
