Super Lotto South
SUPER LOTTO SouthThe south is getting bigger, and so is Lotto South. 5 new numbers (50-54). 4 new prizes (with the new bonus ball). 3 nights a week (Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday). 2 new states (SC WV). 1 dollar to play (because anything more would be too much). Pick 6 numbers out of 54. If your 6 matches our 6, you could win a minimum jackpot of $3 Million, which is guaranteed to grow by at least $1 million each time it isn't won. And even if you don't do that, you

Number Selection is the Key
John,I know a lot the members agree with you, but so far no one has come up with a consistence way to select a small group of numbers that has all the winners. In the jackpot forum, participants in the Maddog and Pigskin challenges try to do this by picking a group of 12-18 white balls and 4-6 bonus balls. Once in a while some one might get a 4+1, but usually it's more likely 1-3 + 0-1.Most lottery software will track or compare a group of numbers with previous drawings, you may have to redefi

Powerball sales skid hurts lottery profits
Everyone would be happy with $5 or 10 million. But the incredible difficulty of winning combined with the routine low jackpot amounts have a hard time getting people out their stupor. If I'm going to daydream, isn't it more fun to daydream about what you'd do with $400 million instead of $12 million? The power of the daydream is a big factor. The odds are the same whether the jackpot is $12 million or $400 million, so it does make sense to wait for the pot to hit a certain amount before you pl

Powerball sales skid hurts lottery profits
There's probably a lot of truth to what you're saying. Someone's making multi-state decisions biased in favor of lousy odds and unimaginable jackpots. Those decisions have to be based on some sort of reasoning, which can certainly be influenced by self-interest.Someone's pushing the envelope, choosing to believe that there's a huge pool of potential ticket buyers out there who won't buy tickets for a $25 million jackpot, but will do so for a $200 million one. It's obvious from some percentage

chaos
An interesting thread, but a little misunderstanding here and there. The phrase lottery balls have no memory of previous draws does not imply that lottery balls are living things with bad memories; it means that draws are not Markov chains, i.e. the result of a given draw does not affect subsequent ones (however, within a draw is a different matter: as balls are removed the odds on drawing one of the remaining numbers increases. The same thing happens in Blackjack; the variation in odds is the

Next GA draw-Singles Safe to Filter Out
Running late. A longer than usual day at work. Here's what I expect to be the bad and the good for tonight after midday's ugly 101 ( unless you played it, of course! lol Congratulations if you won!) Doubles shouldn't count for or against this elimination method, so I'm still 0-for-0 at this point. No hits, no misses. By safe to filter out, I mean that, based on what I've tracked happening a high percentage of the time in Georgia's combined game, the odds strongly oppose any of the following

Economy filters: SHTH if you can’t beat..
The following maybe of interest to 6/49 players: As a newbie to filtering I m really shocked by the large number of failures in the width of line and gap s range filters. I thought these were inoffensive, bog standard traditional filters. Increasing the passes of these two filters, seems to exponentially increase the number of generated combinations. I wanted to resolve the surprisingly different failure rates of LH (2-4) and O/E (2-4) filters during my dry paper runs?!! If the theoretica

Next GA draw-Singles Safe to Filter Out
I plan for this to be a running thread. It'll be my -- Singles Safe to Filter Out -- thread. ......I'm curious to see how things go. By safe to filter out, I mean that, based on what I've seen usually happens in Georgia's combined game, the odds strongly oppose any of the following boxed singles hitting in the next draw. There are always going to be exceptions, of course, and no system of elimination can ever be 100% fool-proof. But I definitely won't be including any of these in my ow

Ion Saliu's Software
I have studied these for years now. I am very sold on them. You can reduce your odds by a factor proportional to the number of filters that you use.If you use just a few filters, you can reduce your odds significantly and still get hits frequently. If you use more filters, you can get just a handful of combinations to play, but you will get your hits more infrequently. I think the best way to have success is to try to guess certain filter values in the next draw. His systems are a lot bette
