Mega Millions Megaball Challenge 7/1/05
LANTERN,Since my RNG has logic to pick combinations using previous drawings as a guide, the new matrix gives it some problems because 53,54 and 55 haven't come up yet. I've had to use the option to manually force it to consider 53-56 in the 4th and 5th positions in some of the combinations. In another 30 drawings or so, all the numbers in the new matrix should have hit at least once and this will no longer be a problem. Since 68% of the possible combinations don't contain any of these 4 numbe

Man sues Mass. Lottery for $1 million prize mistake
The odds of hitting a Caesars Palace instant game ticket for $1 million are one in 3,024,000. But when John Falvey thought he'd beaten the odds, he discovered instead he'd been jilted by Lady Luck. Now Falvey, a Rhode Island resident formerly of Swansea, Mass., wants his day in court. He filed a breach-of-contract lawsuit this week against the Massachusetts State Lottery Commission and State Treasurer Tim Cahill seeking the $1 million he was denied because of his purported misinterpretation of how

**New PB Game** - SSS
what I was saying is that pick pick prizes seem to small for me. But I never looked at it the way you said about affecting other peoples winnings. I try to be realistic that out of everyone on this site only one person will win the jackpot. How posting some numbers to aid each other in making a few bucks effects someone elses winnings in a bad way is beyond me.I read some guys post boosting that you will never see him post any numbers on this site. But I have a magically orb that says we will ne

Sign the petition - eliminate computerized drawings!
Wow. Until today I had no idea there were so many people against computerized draws. For what it is worth, I am one of the programmers that have worked on some of the systems mentioned. I have been working on these types of systems for well over a decade. While I could easily talk at length on any of the many points touched upon in this thread (both pro and con) I am not sure that my opinions would be appreciated. Of course, I am rather pro computers, but I am not without my concerns about th

Help: Looking for pick 3 workouts
Orangeman,Wow... I've never thought of the lottery as a hobby. You must really be an expert! Someone who has forgotten way more than I'll ever know about increasing the odds of success. I'm sure glad you decided to resposnd to my post. Considering that this is a hobby for you, I'm sure you've had a boatload of hits. I wish I could make the same claim. While I'm not seeking to make this a hobby (down the road perhaps), I am hoping to increase not only my odds, but my knowledge as well. With th

Beginning pick 3 filters tutorial for all
CalifDude: I agree with you......trends are the way to go with the pick 3 for me too. I pick my numbers on Sunday evening based mostly on what hit the previous week looking for patterns. I play the numbers I come up with all of the next week, playing either boxed or combo for the most part. My hope is to lock onto a winner that hits within the week, so I don't try to guess the straight hit , but spend the extra money on the combo to guarantee straight money. My hope is short odds based on

Kansas Lottery Re-tools eScratch Game
In addition to enjoying higher payouts and improved odds, Kansas eScratch players will be able to choose from more than 20 entertaining and interactive Internet games, including Hunting Bonanza, Groovy Hoops, Casino Golfer, Monopoly and Spin Words. Sales of eScratch have been somewhat disappointing since the initial launch of the game one year ago, said Kansas Lottery Executive Director Ed Van Petten. Our players have suggested ways to make the game better, and we've listened. We think Kansas

Idea for pick3 strategy....
I haven't read all of your post, but I think most of us over time have found that chasing a particular number or statistic is not a smart thing to do. Ask anyone that has been trying to hit the 49 pair in the California Evening draw! It has missed like 7 months now!! Or the 999 in Texas. It has never hit. There are a couple of numbers (not doubles or triples) that have never hit in California Day or Evening since they went to a twice a day draw a few years ago. So, if you are going to chase

winning the lottery eventually......
I am almost certain that I will dventually win a major prize in the lottery. I have never matched more than 4 numbers out of six and won more than $120.00 I have been playing since 1989, I am way past due to win some major $$$$$ wouldn't you say? I have played every kind of game there is pick 3, pick 4, cash 5, LOTTO South, Mega MIllions, Big Game, POWERBALL. And yet have only won $120.00 as the top prize. what are the odds I wonder? seems like the odds would be greater for me to get lung ca

Defunct Games
Sure, how about New Jersey's Lotzee game?Lotzee was removed from the NJ game lineup about 2 years ago, and was an interesting oddball of a game. Here's some background info I had on the game, including how to play:Lotzee had 63 different ways to win on each ticket played, with some of the best odds of winning a prize (1 in 7). Lotzee had a top prize of $500,000.Every Lotzee ticket had 5 prize levels. Within each prize level you had between 1 and 8 sets of 4 numbers in play.Between all the priz
