i could past the 40 entries you stated on less than the 600 tickets you figured out Taurus, just wanted to reiterate that I made a mistake in my initial calculations....you will want to read grengrad's posts and mine thereafter. It is not quite as difficult to rack up many entries as originally believed, so the 600ish ticket figure was derived in error. You're right, it's certainly worth the shot, and even if you don't get on the show at least you have fun trying for it! For Maryland, I

grengrad: Thanks for posting the comparison. Nice to know I was right near target the second go around (didn't major in math in college)! It does seem counter-intuitive but your explanation makes sense. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you set the sum of tickets for each property to 1/28 and multiplied the 10 lines of 1/28 (ten property groups) by the number of entries per group. Basically an expected value calculation. Alternatively, you can simply add up all the available entries (103) and

New Systems Forum just based on real stats and facts!
WIN D, I'll share my thoughts on the casino-style online games. A couple of years ago, I did my own personal study in an attempt to help a buddy determine how legit such a thing would be but, we were looking at Roulette. After a little research on the companies that provide the software which powers these games, I began to do some 'demo' sampling on a couple of different sites just to establish similarities and differences. Now, our idea wasn't to become rich on this deal deal. It would be desin

Best time NOT to play doubles is...
Check out how many times your STATE had 3 doubles in a row last year or for the last ..... 365 draws. We would be lucky to get more than 8 or 9 times a year. So, around 90% of the time we would be good to go ..NOT playing another double for the 3rd. day. So, how many times a year should we expect say...... 4 doubles in a row? Out of the average 99 doubles per game per year we get....... MAYBE 1 or 2 !! ============================================================================

I think the systems or methods for predicts the lottery is illusion.
So, easy. Doing an independent /past-data-non-inclusive method, we do this (California D3): 1) Divide the pool of 1000 numbers into fourths (quadrants). 2) Fill out your fourth as all Straights. 3) Don't play, but wait until your quadrant has been out for eight times in a row, i.e., fully twice around the board. This is to play it safe, and it may take a while to get there (you may also want to play it safer, and increase the amount of plays you have to wait; or, if you feel risky, wait

Ny Pick 10
I appreciate all the work you are doing. Nice thing about this game is there is no splitting of the Jackpot so we really can all work together. I like your idea of playing 1-40 and 41-80. BTW: I see more than 10 numbers 41-80 happening soon. The thing about this strategy is it will (many times) help you over come when a category of numbers (50's, 60's etc..) drops out. I tried to read through most of this thread. What surprises me is you are not playing all evens or all odds..which is one

Post your scratch ticket results
I played 2 $5 tickets when I was in Virginia. I was surprised that the odds seemed worse than in MD judging from the 2 tickets I got. $5 The Venetian Las Vegas (#7)- won $5 (Odds 1:4.3) $5 Diamond 7's (#21)- lost (Odds 1:4.27) I bought some tickets in MD. I wasn't going to play much but I was tempted to try the new $20 1 again. Lost $ on that 1 but still managed to break even. 4 $20 Millionaire (#1-4)- won $50 on #4 2 $5 Crossword- won $10, $30 was surprised to win

Winning Tips for Trapping Missing Digits
Thanks for your note and positive response to the post about digits tips and traps...etc. Basically .....Our hobby has 2 kinds of players. Players that understand the power of Odds and Stats .....and those who don't. LOL You are one of the few up there.....that actually notices the point of the post and sees the value of the information. That slim appreciation makes it worth the effort to share. Thank you very much. Oh,,, and although we can't post on open forum...... I won i

Nice wins OldSchool! Way to goo!! I was over looking at the odds of our $5 MATCH game..I don't go for that one normally - the colors are sick and the wins are sicker lol...anytime there's the word MATCH it seems for me, it's a crummy $5 win under it. I saw you can win $10k with the word MATCH..that would be nice. Anyway I bought 4 of them from the same IVM and one won $200 with 2 x $50 and the rest of the 'my number' area filled with $10's...that was a shocker actually, I don't wi

The new odds for Mega Millions have been a failure!
Being a lottery enthusiast, I hate the low jackpots and odds just as much as the next player. But the lotteries do not have players' interests at heart. We can't even get to our first billion! As I've said and keep saying, this is exactly what they don't want. Every lottery director I have heard from (at last count, 5) dreads reaching this level. They're actually already thinking of ideas to prevent it from ever reaching/surpassing that point. They just didn't have the guts to go hig
