Discovery - New PA Raffle Game Change
Taurus$ ... Ron5995 provided this information in July about all the past PA Raffles showing the numbers for the top eight prizes. I may change what I said earlier ... I mentioned a lot of winning tickets after 250,000 but perhaps the 200,000 mark would be better. Of course there are winning tickets below 200,000 ... it seems to be more winners after 200,000 or 250,000.

Pennsylvania Millionaire Raffle is Now SEASONAL
Seems very strange ... since they struggled to sell all the tickets for the July 2015 raffle ... which of course they did not ... but they did sell more than 300,000 tickets, so they still made a profit.
This is from the PA Lottery site:
More Millionaire Raffle, More Often
Millionaire Raffle has gone quarterly! After being offered twice per-year for the past 10 years, Millionaire Raffle has evolved into a seasonal game. The first fall drawing of Millionaire Raffle will be October 31.

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
I've been thinking some more about what I wrote above.
I'll take a raffle over MegaMillions or PowerBall everyday. I LIKE raffles.
There has to be a reason why The Florida Lottery stopped offering raffles. To my way of thinking, they just didn't make enough profit on them to keep offering them. We'll see what happens with this current raffle, and what The FLA Lottery decides to do in the future after this one concludes. But there just aren't two ways about it. They have to make money o

Pool Lottery
If you join a pool to play a raffle, depending upon the amount of the raffle's top prize, and how many people are in the pool, then it might be worth it to you.
I run a pool at work for The Pennsylvania Millionaire Raffle. That raffle is held twice per year, and a maximum of 500,000 tickets will be sold for each raffle. If all 500,000 aren't sold by the date of the raffle, the raffle is held anyway. (that's good for players as the odds to win a million dollars are reduced because of less than

Florida Lottery Holiday Millionaire Raffle
Looks like the Florida Lottery will be trying a raffle again this year. From what I can see, it was Dec. 2012 since they've had a raffle.
I believe their first raffle was in 2006, tickets were $20, and they sold out 1,000,000 tickets. So they had more Dec. holiday raffles that were also successful, and then they started having an additional raffle in July. Then the raffle tickets weren't selling out, so they lowered the price/jackpot and generally fiddled around with it until they threw

New Oklahoma Lottery Bill Helps Many Non-Profit Organizations
After years of finding creative ways to sell tickets for a special item without actually calling it a raffle (which was illegal), school organizations can now legally raffle off chances at a quilt, an autographed ball, or some other prize. The new freedom for schools and specific qualified organizations comes as the result of Oklahoma's new State Lottery bill. For years, Oklahoma legislators tried to find a way to allow non-profit groups to conduct raffles without opening the door to other more

The Florida Millionaire Raffle is back!
Wanted to update/correct my previous figures, as for some reason I thought there were only three interim prize periods, and there are actually four. Bottom line, 640,900 tickets need to be sold to fund all prizes to be awarded in the Raffle (interim prizes and Grand Prizes.) The duration of the raffle is 122 days, so sales need to average 5,245 tix a day. Based on the Lottery's figure of 169,906 tix sold as of 4/17 , sales are averaging 3,540 tix/day so far. Hard to say if sales will pick up or

Super Raffle/Best Michigan games ever?
I liked the 6/40, 6/44, and 6/47 Ball drawn games and the 56/46 Megamillions game but this new Super Raffle has got to be one of the Best games the Michigan lottery has ever offered!
If they would double the top prizes and keep the lower prizes the same but double the Number of $100,000 and lower prizes and charge $100 per ticket I would play only that game twice per year.
I don't understand why the people who play $20 and $30 scratchers aren't jumping all over the $50 Raffle tickets

KA-BOOM! 4th of July PA Millionaire Raffle! It's On!
PA raffle is a good deal for a numbers game. The odds of winning a million, while not great, are far better than the various jackpot games, such as Powerball, Mega Millions, Cash 4 Life, PA Match 6, etc.
Overall payback on the raffle is a tad under 51% which is only a fraction of a percent better than PA Pick-5, which is sold twice everyday. Playing $20 straight on same number in PA Pick-5 will also pay $1 million with better odds (1:100,000 verses 1:125,000) than the raffle...
