Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Hi Loveslots, yeah on the 500X the odds for a $500 are about 1/48, but jump to 1/1000 or so for $1,000. Either way congrats on the pounder!

What are the odds?
Tonight I was looking into the PA Fast Play winners of jackpot prizes over the last year and something struck me odd.
The same out of state winner took not 1, but 2 progressive jackpots in the PA Fast Play games ...one totaling $540K in August and another totaling $2.4MM in January. I know this is possible but I find it hard to believe that the same person could defy odd of 1:1,200,000 and 1:800,000 in less than 5 months. Something seems off..

Australian woman ignores calls from the Lottery about $40 million jackpot win
The NJ Pick 6 Is a 6/46 drawing where the odds are 1 in 9,366,819
How could it be harder than 6/49 whose odds are 1 in 13,983,816
On April 7, 2022, the number matrix was changed from 6/49 to 6/46,
the Double Play drawing was added, the Xtra multiplier was automatically added to every play,
and the ticket price was increased from $1 to $2 per play.
The optional Double Play feature costs an additional $1 per play.

Canadian lottery player uses Excel spreadsheet to win the lottery
Lmao this is just silly. If it took 41yrs of consistent playing it's not his method that worked but his luck. Odds are smaller too considering the prize amount. Everyone thinks they're a genius with their own methodology ( I play same ticket multiple times, as do many others, hoping to win second prize multiple times over for powerball and mega millions) and the day my methodology happen to work, I'm going to brag about how I out played the lottery after years of trying.

Wit and Wisdom of old lottery players...
I was down the rabbit hole for many many years. Had it all on a laptop in Excel files. Wheels, odds, evens, skips, due, neighbors, sums, etc. Best I ever did was 4/6 on the Ohio Classic Lotto. I finally had to give it up, which was difficult because I always felt like I was so close to cracking the code . I still play, because you can't win if you don't play, but I do all QPs now.

Two record prizes claimed by Mississippi lottery players in one day
That Mississippi Match 5 win was awesome because the jackpot had rolled over so many times it was much larger than the odds. (In other words, it had a positive expected return.) Congrats to both winners. And it's good to see that MS Lottery respects winners' privacy.

New member introduction...
Hahaha...well said and love the current reference. Just to be clear, I'm not expecting magic. I've been a long time reader/student of advantage play in general (card counting, slot hustling, etc) and understand that math is math and we're not going to overcome a statistical advantage with a betting system or something like that. I just wanted to explore the methods people use and how they work. For example, I used to randomly buy high denomination scratch off tickets ($30 and above) and just hop

Two $31 million Mega Millions lottery jackpots won in Massachusetts in one week
Mega-millions jackpots odds are 1 in 302 million. I've noticed several jackpot and secondary million dollar prizes hovering around the NorthEast: Maine, New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey . The two back to back wins should certainly raise eyebrows.

Asked ChatGPT How To Win the Lottery
Found a manuscript, Confusion Between Odds and Probability, a Pandemic? in the Journal of Statistics Education published by American Statistical Association. Hopefully that will help.
